Portable Standalone

POD Farm™ 2.5 and POD Farm™ 2.5 Platinum are premium tone plug-ins that add world-renowned POD® tone to any DAW. They are packed with extensive model counts for guitarists, bassists and vocalists, and deliver lightning-fast workflows.

Each plug-in boasts an arsenal of historic amps and effects, the kinds gear fantasies are made of. They feature plenty of vintage and modern amps, cabs, studio-standard effects, classic stompboxes and colorful preamps.

POD Farm 2.5 Platinum provides an astonishing collection of more than 250 meaty models. POD Farm 2.5 offers hand-picked essentials that no recording guitarist should be without.

The simple, carousel-style gear browser puts every last model at your fingertips. Dark and smoky American combos, gain-crazed British stacks and beyond. Just drag-and-drop models into the signal flow and build the perfect sound.

Enhanced routing with flexible DSP (digital signal processing) allows for a broader range of tones. Split your guitar signal and create two separate and simultaneous amp and effect signal chains with one click. Create a huge sound by routing up to 20 FX models (10 per chain) in any order, before or after your amp and cab models. You can even add post-cabinet mic preamps! Control the both chains with the virtual A/B/Y box.

POD Farm Elements will streamline your workflow and conserve CPU horsepower. They are plug-ins that contain POD Farm models grouped together by effect type. Instead of loading multiple instances of POD Farm 2.5, choose a modular approach and load single amps, preamps or effects.

POD Farm 2.5 and POD Farm 2.5 Platinum offer full MIDI support via any MIDI controller. We recommend Line 6 FBV Shortboard™ MkII and FBV Express™ MkII foot controllers. Intuitive MIDI Learn functionality makes it easy to control model bypass, volume, mute, global tap tempo, the virtual A/B/Y box and more.

POD Farm 2.5 and POD Farm 2.5 Platinum continue the recording revolution sparked over a decade ago by Line 6 Amp Farm®, the studio-standard modeling plug-in that forever changed the way guitarists record.

Mac® AU/RTAS®/VST® and Windows® RTAS®/VST® compatible for seamless integration with all major recording applications. 64-bit support for compatible DAWs including Cubase® 5, Reaper® 3.71, SONAR® 8.x or SONAR X1, Logic® 9.2 and others. iLok USB Smart Key version available.

before posting, do you have any idea if this is actual a podfarm platinum that works?

Previous releases never had everything unlocked.

i guess it is the same shitty release as the no working that have been released here and elsewhere for years.

And soon we have someone post that it works as you can open up all modules and move all the knobs.
But when you move the knobs NOTHING HAPPENS TO THE SOUND IT IS THE SAME ALL THE TIME.

Beat me to it, dipblabla. Ha! I'd kill for a working hardware independent Podfarm Platinum. I have a KB37 and love podfarm (comes with the interface) but if the hardware isn't connected I can't even MIX with podfarm (e.g. podfarm on a laptop with headphones on the go).

Hadn't tested the previous releases as they were reported as non working, but I've been fooling around with this one for about 10 minutes now and most stuff seem to work great!
At least 10 amps that I've randomly tried seem to be fully operational. The only problem I had was with delays, at first they didn't seem to work when I added them from the top menu, but when I right clicked on the signal chain at the bottom and changed the model these worked too...
So thanks VERY MUCH for this release!!!

Edit 1: Some amps seem to have some kind of problem indeed... While the distortion amps seem to be working well, I just can't seem to get a working lush clean tone for some reason and some amps start to behave a bit strange... Also, changing amps from the top menu doesn't seem to always work as expected, changing with right click-->model from the signal chain seems like a more working way to do it... (at least for my pc)

Edit 2: A bit unstable release mostly regarding effects and the way they work... It takes some time to get the delays/reverbs (and probably mods) working, adding it in the signal chain at the first time does nothing, then you start changing models and randomly a model starts working... Then the rest of the models work too, but if you delete it from the chain the same randomization process has to be redone...

You can still get the idea from the Line6 modelling world though, so I'll say thanks again ;)

the problem you have is that when you select an amp that is actually not there, nothing changes in the sound. But the picture does change.

So pay attention, you'll notice that all the distortion amps sound exactly the same :P, because actually no amp is changed. If you start the program, and go directly to the 'uberbombed', you'll notice nothing changes from the default sound. You only have a high-gain britt (jcm800 or jcm2000 thing) and some cleans I believe.

Original (not platinum) podfarm came with my GX, and paid 30 bucks for the metal pack. But still would be nice to not need to have it connected since I don't use it anymore (proper DI box now)

I'm pretty confident the sound changed from the distortion models I chose, (e.g. XTC, dual treadplate, line6 insane, jcm2k, powerball and more distortion sounds I tried). Prob is that the program started to behave strange after I started fiddling with effects and some amps refused to load (and it was mostly the clean amps).

BEAT probably, once again, just repacked a "portable" version with the same crappy cracking scheme. Frankly, who cares about an half working "portable" version ?
It is not even a scene show, because you show nothing. This release is just empty and useless.
A working version takes more time.

I may sound harsh, but it takes me 15 minutes to pack a portable version of any app with something like Thinapp.
I already done it for FL Studio, Ableton Live (with separate library, so you don't need to install it)...and more.

It remembers me how many bad Revalver releases we seen before a working one...and now it is an almost dead product

Peavey Revalver is one of the best emulations and version 4 was announced at NAMM 2014, I made a post on AudioSex.

works with asio4all, but you cant use that driver to record guitar tone zero latency. as soon as i switched to the line6 asio driver, the models disappeared only showing the demo 3. so yeah, its useless crap again. ;(

It works great for me. Try uninstalling asio4all and reinstalling your audio drivers. It works on my Focusrite 2i2. Just a question... does it contain the vst?? Or is just the standalone??

i need asio4all for headphone mixes and wouldnt mess with my stable audio drivers.
thing is, i have legal line6 podfarm (the free one) with extensions. no vst, portable only.

anyway, nothing beats amplitube latest or the few lepou amps i'm using. thanx 4 reply

The best for me is TH2 Indeed. Aynone know when the latest version will be released? It has less cpu use.

did you try the mercurial ampsims ? killer marshall clones (said to be the best ones), very organic, touch sensitive sims.

Just a little comment about 'changing' the Amps.
Well, after several trials, it works pretty well for me under 'Win7 Ultimate Edition', as well as under 'XP Pro'...

The 'trick' is to first select the desired Amp to be loaded (either the left or the right one from the centered one), click one time to select it, then when it's in place (center), simply click once again one time (one click !), and you'll get it loaded and visible in the 'Setup Chain Path' (just below), then it will sound like it must sound !!! (depending of the selected Model, of course !)

It works without asio, with asio not working

doesn't work with line 6 hardware, as long as any line 6 driver is installed it asks for license.
tried with my old jamlab, with this interface there is no license problem and i have all amps. doesnt help me anyway becuse the jamlab seems to be broken it makes only terrible noise under windows 7.

looks as if line 6 is no longer making this product available

discontinued on sw and no option to purchase in their store...
