Thank you.But in Ableton appear message about Synchrosoft Licencer blah blah blah and plug do not load.Anybody have the same problem?

i aint tested it but it asks for 2 DLL files that need to b in your system folder.

PS:As I own Cubase and have ilok drivers installed it works perfectly. For those that have trouble, try to have cubase 5 ilok drivers in your machine.

It must work.
As I've stated I own Cubase.
But, the .dll must be patched to work without Steinberg DAW.
BUT. ...you'll need to to have ilok drivers.

Plugins Versions... that in fact, and although all your 'wise' speeches,
work perfectly within other DAW as well !

But first, a bit of story :

this happens because this plugin is not cracked
it was grabbed from the Steinberg FTP\Legacy Additional Content and it only works with steinberg daws who have a valid Syncrosoft license

it's not patched, it works with air cracked syncrosoft license and legit syncrosoft license, steinberg marked it as free stuff for owners of cubase\nuendo

it works if there's a steinberg daw - cubase or nuendo - installed on your machine with a legit or k'd syncrosoft license, tested it.
try to uninstall your cubase and see if it works
a patched dll to work in other daws?

I think that you should be the FIRST to look you in your mirror, and above all, to learn a bit more how to use, or at least to configure, all your DAWs...

So, how do you feel now ? A bit ridiculous, isn't ?

But if you re-put the AiR SYNSOEMU.DLL back in the system folder all is fine for me.

Just to clarify (no i don't wish to get into some debate) i installed Magneto on my test VM that doesn't have any DAW's so i installed Studio One and Reaper both came up with above picture, until i copied over the AiR dll's.

The DLL in this package has been edited to look for KAWAELIC.DLL instead of SYNSOACC.DLL. This means unless you have KAWAELIC.DLL installed it cannot and will not work.


What you can do to make it work, and at the same time make it independent of any other emulators you may have installed, is this:

1) Take one of the old SYNSOEMU/SYNSOACC DLLs and rename it to Magneto.dat (I used SYNSOACC 1.0.5.0 for the test because it is only a couple of kilobytes.)

2) Put Magneto.dat in your System32 folder.

3) Open Magneto.dll (not Magneto.dat) in a hexeditor, search for KAWAELIC.DLL and replace it with Magneto.dat. (One char will remain, just zero it.)

4) Done. Since the plugin now runs on its own emulator file it wont interfere with (or be dependent on) any other emulator files, and it will work in any host.

Weird thing is after the 5th try i got a error with copied over dll's hehe but that could be the plugins age and the host i tried it on, no matter.

Not sure what you mean. The Magneto.dll in this package was edited to look for KAWAELIC.DLL so thats the file that has to be in System32.

(Technically it could of course be any of the SYNSO emulators, but still it would have to have that filename. Unless of course you edit the DLL again to look for a different file.)

Billy Boo, you don't seem to understand what other guys are saying. The Steinberg FTP legacy plugins are patched by Steinberg so they can only work in Cubase/Nuendo, and additionally they need syncrosoft.dll VTX patched those legacy plugins so they can work with all DAWs, not just Cubase/Nuendo, but they don't work without synsoacc.dll

Or, try downloading magneto from Steinberg FTP and try running it in Reaper. It won't work. VTX one will work. If you have synsoacc.dll installed in system32.

I cannot get it to work because I use a different crack for Cubase that doesn't work with this magneto. But I don't care since magneto is crap like all Steinberg plugins.

I bothered after all and got it to work in EnergyXT with synsoacc.dll from AiR version 2010 that comes with Cubase 4 cracked by AiR.

Yes I read his comment. What's so important about it? He got it to work by copying synsoemu.dll to the system32 folder like all other people should do for whom it doesn't work. Just find some old AiR cubase synsoacc.dll and it should work with it.

Weird thing is that it didn't work with synsoemu.dll for me but I needed to rename it to synsoacc.dll, just as the error message says when you don't have it in the system folder. I can bet The-Robot has both synsoemu.dll and synsoacc.dll in the system folder and that's why it works, or maybe he just meant synsoacc.dll but wrote synsoemu.dll. ;)

oops, now I tried the Steinberg FTP version with the AiR synsoacc.dll and yes it works in EnergyXT! :) I was fully expecting it to be locked for other DAWs by Steinberg. So it seems like they unlocked them, but left the synsoacc.dll dependancy. Weird.

My apologies, Billy Boo. All this fuss because people haven't tested anything before saying anything. ;) However, I can't see where does The-Robot says that he tried legacy plugin from the Steinberg FTP website. He just said "I tried legacy plugin". Well, this VTX's magneto is also "legacy" plugin. ;) That confused me.

However, maybe VTX patched it... with something, for something... hmmm [now I'm beginning to feel like laughing but I'll refrain from that]

Edit: I have just finished testing all the plugins from the Steinberg FTP and not all are unlocked. Actually 90% of them are locked, some to Cubase and some to Nuendo. I would have thought Magneto would be locked but it isn't. :) Steinberg... ayayayaay what inconsistency. Unbelievable that they make one of the most popular DAWs and that it doesn't fall apart every 10 seconds. :))

Yes i have both Dll's in system folder hence why i said DLL's rather than DLL sorry for any confusion. Just thought i would try the old legacy for old times sake on a VM, on my audio machine i have cubase 7 hence why i use a test VM.

Yes you're right i was just continuing the conversation that was happening before (even tho i wasn't in the conversation - confused? lol) about Steinbergs ftp, looking back yes it could be confusing to read which is my fault, apologies.
