The Jupiter-8 is an 8-voice polyphonic synthesizer with a 61-note (C-C) keyboard. Each voice consists of 2 VCOs. VCO1 is switchable between triangle, sawtooth, pulse, and square waves and can be switched between 4 octaves. VCO2 has the same options except the square wave is replaced by a noise generator switch and it has the same 4 octave range, with a switch to put it into "Low Frequency range". There is a simple mixer that balances the level of the two oscillators. There is a single slider to control the amount of cross-modulation of VCO-1 by VCO-2. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is set by a slider to set the level of modulation, and then a switch to select between LFO, ENV-1, or manual PWM. The Jupiter-8 also allows VCO1 to be synced to VCO2. Either or both VCOs can be modulated by either or both of the LFO and ENV1. The LFO features controls for rate, delay, and four waveforms, sine, saw, square, and random (sample-and-hold). LFO2 is triggered by a big white button next to the pitchbend/modulation lever. It is controlled by two switches and two sliders. The switches enable the modulation of the VCO and the VCF and the sliders control the amount of modulation for each destination.

What issues do you have with the previous version? All Arturia plugins run stable since years here (Win 7, 32 AND 64 Bit). And I update them with the original updates from Arturia's support page.

Is it the "crack" with the soft elicenser? That doesn't work properly when having real licenses and the latest elicenser.

In that case, you have to uninstall all elicenser related software (your licenses are stored on the dongle, so no matter!), install the AiR stuff (with unconnected dongle!!), then update elicenser software - your dongle (and the bought software) should work.

Bad side of that: Every change/upgrade of the elicenser software may cause malfuntion and requires to repeat the whole procedure...

Anyway I was gonna get rid of unused Cubase 5 anyway so the right moment has come now. I fixed Wavelab 6.1 with uninstalling and reinstalling the AiR release again and it seems to work fine now. There should be some dll file to preserve I guess but I can't remember it's name. Anyone remembers?

Ok I have sorted it now. Thanks for all the help and comments and thanks to the uploader. I think it was because I had some genuine elicence software on my PC. Anyway, uninstalled that and reinstalled the Jupiter. All working so far. Thanks again for the advice everyone.

No i am pretty sure he meant all of the Air released ones.
Minmoog Moog Modular CS80 Jupiter 8 Prophet V Analog Factory Arp2600 and Brass..

Simply just install those air releases run the air kg and then dl updates and install them and your done.

If you have Cubase,Nuendo,Wavelab from air remember to run the air patch afterwords or do like me keep a copy if the synsoemu.dll on you r hd and after the update overwrite it on system32 and syswow64

This is common knowledge for people who have done this for ages.

I am sure you can find many articles about this if you just do a google

Works fine here you need correct SeLicenser.sel file or do this procedure:

Note you need arturia_jupiter8v_v2.x_keygen.exe

Download WineBottler - If you're not familiar with this program, this will allow you to run Windows Programs directly on OS X. When you have downloaded it drag both WineBottler and Wine into your Application folder.

Go to the Arturia site and download the latest PC & Mac versions of the Jupiter-8V. You must download both to get this to work!


Put both downloads inside a new folder along with your keygen so you can find them easy.

Now you will notice the PC version you downloaded inside the folder we created now looks like a WineBottler file called Jupiter-8V_2_5_5.exe. Double click it: it will say: You're about to open a wine file. Select the top option, run directly in, click go, and install the program like you would on a PC.

Next: double click the keygen: You're about to open a wine file. Select the top option, run directly in, click go, when the keygen is running click install on the keygen and it will take a couple of mins to complete.

Next: copy the SeLicenser.sel file from home folder>wine files>drive_c>users>public>application data>synchrosoft
and put it on your desktop. If you have trouble finding the folder search for WineFiles in your Spotlight and go from there.

Now install the Mac version of the Jupiter-8V v2.5.5 that you downloaded and copy SeLicenser.sel from your desktop to: library>application support>syncrosoft soft e-licenser and replace it.

Now run the eLicenser Control Center in your applications folder. It might have errors
that say repair the eLicenser. if so, repair it.

Confirmed this works on Mavericks 10.9.1
First of all keep your internet connected.
What I did before-hand was that I removed the eLC ("Uninstall eLC" which can be found in "eLicenser Control.dmg" which can be downloaded from their website) and then trashed the "eLicenser Control Center" from the "Applications" folder.
When you repair using the application don't click "Perform Maintenance Tasks", just cancel it and then repair.
The rest works as is.

Is there no easier way of doing this for Mac if I have a PC also? I'm thinking, is there a way to create a selicenser file using the keygen on my PC and just transfer it to my Mac? I know I have some Arturia stuff already installed and I definitely didn't have to do all this.

Yes you can just install PC version on your PC and use keygen to create selicenser file and copy that on your Mac desktop.

why dont simply share file .sel??? i follow your instruction but when i try to run keygen it give me error: "Could not open or acces Soft- e.liceser" Some Help???

Lolerzo search for Arturia V2 Vintage Collection... i downloaded it and there is a video how to make the SeLicenser.sel work, now the jupiter also wprk for me, psyko67 thank you for your help at least you shared allmost the same information like there is in the video :D
