Yeah...don't really need this myself but the concept is cool to have everything in one place. I guess 10.3.6 is the end of the line for PT10 so it would be be cool to have as we may never see 11. I really hope that 11 will renew some interest in cracking Eden because it looks to have breathed new life into pro tools. Some say it's cpu usage rivals Reaper.

And the goal was to have tested and working installation of it.

I understand but they didn't address any important frameworks or dll files that had issues
rather they just recommended to install 3rd party apps to help, wich doesn't do anything

They focused too much on the Mac version of Protools, when apple was still making Desktops.

Now that the games have changed Avid and Motu are now scrambling to their apps working properly in Windows .

Predicted during the Intel switch that Apple loosing their hardware monopoly would eventually switch to other markets, as Apple could never compete on the same hardware.

Reason there is no touch support on Macs, whereas it is on Windows since Vista (multitouch of course) ? : selling more iPads/iPhones. And Windows 8 (RT or not) tablets are born...

You can add to the equation an iLok server crashed recently, and messed a lot of professional man hours work all around the world on PT11/iLok products.

Actually, that's completely inaccurate. When intel bought a chunk of Avid in 1994 they started developing primarily for Windows first, and porting to MacOS - an option only available once NT was released and there was a stable enough Windows platform for high-volume media (this was pre OSX, but even OS9 was preferable to the earlier windows offerings). The first version of Symphony was ONLY for windows, and until Macs went Intel the Mac versions of Avid products were always later ports, though often only slightly later. Avid was happy to continue pushing PC over Mac once Apple released Final Cut Pro, which claimed a much bigger chunk of their core market than anyone expected. Since their acquisition of Digidesign they've been officially OS-neutral, but certain products come out first on PC (eg video satellite). What they HAVE been struggling with is an overwhelming bias in the pro audio and music world in favour of Macs over PCs (justifiable in 1990, but absurd today), and a blurring of the formerly distinct lines between the pro audio world - recording studios, post houses, broadcasters - and the project studio and hobbyist market, as increasing CPU speed and RAM capacity has made native processing a practical (and inexpensive) reality - hence the rethinking of their entire product line a few years ago.

BTW about four years ago (when FCP was still a credible threat) the Avid board of directors replaced the entire Avid senior management, EXCEPT the Digidesign division (as it was then still called), as it was the only part of the company still kicking ass in the market at the time. The decision to lose the Digidesign moniker and develop Pro Tools under the Avid banner is widely seen as an attempt to spread the credibility of Digidesign throughout the company and its offerings.

So no, Avid is hardly on the ropes, and, your comments notwithstanding, they have no trouble making their products work on properly equipped (name brand) PC rigs. But their support of 64-bit processing is embarrassingly late, and they still suck at MIDI sequencing.

Personally, and simply, I think PT is so overrated these days, but I have to make it work for those who don't know any better. In most cases it's actually just what I call the "I have Pro Tools" syndrome, if you know what I mean. :) Cheers!

So does PT 10.3.5 actually work for anyone? Judging by some comments in other threads it does. I have the 10.3.4 installation with the KillerBugs, too, just in case.

If you stop the complaining and spend you wasted time on learning Pc skills and follow instructions you will have better outcomes and have no need to voice you complaints

i had 10.3.5 installed with latest(greatest) killerbugz, no good man. drops audio interface in the middle, system freeze hard reset. 10.3.4 didnt freeze on me 3 weeks now (w/killerbugs of course)

fastest workflow (i mean very fast) : ableton 8.2.2 (song can be done in 2 hours) , 9.0.4 : too heavy 4 system.
cubase 5.1.2 - interface frame refresh issues but pretty good and solid.
pt : killer virtual instruments/plugs. most fragile software it seems.
sequoia : terrible workflow for using virtual instruments, best at mastering ur stuff. great for audio only, good headroom.
reaper : everything just worx perfect.
motu dp : a nightmare to work with.
studio one : solid stuff, top notch plugz, shit VI's,unfriendly interface.
fl studio : nightmare comes true, loaded with crap.

all these apply only to my system of course , YMMV - pick yours.
