NI Massive Automatic Database Remover v 1.2 screenshot
Native Instruments Massive - Automatic Database Remover v 1.2

What is this?
Tired of needing to delete the database file that makes Massive crash once in a while? I created a simple solution that makes this problem disappear!

How does it work?
It simply finds the location of the database file and removes it from your system at every startup. The file gets rebuilt everytime you start Massive, but never gets big enough to make Massive crash.

On which systems does it work?
When I created this solution for my own needs it was only working on Windows 7 (because of the file structure) but since I'm uploading it I've made it work on Windows XP aswell.

Last words?
The code is vbs. If you want to see what's going on or modify anything, just right click and choose "edit". It's not harmful in any way but as always: I'm not a support center or leaving any warranties. ^^ I've included an Uninstall file aswell for easy removal!

Enjoy!

If you want to supply something, you can. PM is open for that.

nyreiter2k,

the crashes (probably) occurs because the database file has become too big! I don't know where Massive stores that file in Mac, but just delete it and open your project again - should work! I'm sorry mate this script is only for Win...

snorkel, ok then why works it with the legally version from NI?
i have about 3000 presets in my Massive folder and i have no issues with my legit 1.3.1 version on windows.
i think its some kind of protection in the code.

Articstorm,

I have never argued about the legit version not being better (I don't even know), in fact, isn't every legit thing "better"? ;)

All I know is that since 2 months ago I don't need any legit version, so I'm cool. (And I'm happy to share this solution with u guys :)) phones

Managing around 14000 presets here, no problems with the latest Assign (1.3.0.).

Thank you Snorkel for bringing your solution to all of us here.

Beside on one hand I think that a program like this one at this price should handle properly however quantity of presets, and
on the other hand, if one like to have a lot of presets, he needs to get them organized (favorites and categories) so I don't understand the advantage of deleting the database.

Olymoon,

I don't think you know what you're talking about. The number of presets don't have anything to do with the database file. You could have one preset installed and still have this DB issue with Massive. Gosh. Ppl delete this stupid file manually I just made it "automatic" that's all, it's not something new. I Don't know what some of you wise guys are arguing about. ;)

Snorkel Thank you for your answer. You are right, I didn't understand , because I never had a complete crash from Massive.
The only problem I had (and I know many other users have)is that when there are a lot of preset in the database, it tries to update it and stay refreshing all the time, which make it unusable.
This is why I was confused. (May be I am not the only one here).
I though that your program would bring a solution to that.

Olymoon,

I don't know what you're talking about. My script fixes the classic database issue everyone have had with Massive for a time. Either use it and be happy or do something else. Stop talking about 10x other things. I'm out.
