FXpansion Bloom v1.0.0.5 screenshot
R2R | 27.2.2013 | 14.11 MB
FXpansion is proud to present Bloom, a creative delay effect plugin with additional diffusion network, effects, advanced modulation and much more. Bloom's varied delay modes and lush diffusion reverb instantly introduce new textures and spaces to your productions. Dig a little deeper to discover new ways of using delay for sound design - use psychedelic effects like frequency shifting and chorus in the feedback path and modulate Bloom's parameters with step-sequencers and LFOs for an amazing variety of new sounds.

At Bloom's core is a stereo delay line switchable between analogue BBD, tape and digital models, with a lush diffusion reverb algorithm providing stunning spaciousness and dimension. The diffusor is switchable between 3 possible positions in the signal path, as is the additional effect section containing filtering, chorus, frequency shifting, overdrive, saturation, EQ and envelope-shaping, which makes an extremely wide variety of creative effects possible. Other highlights include reverse and ping-pong modes, a freeze function and adjustable smoothing for delay time changes.

Bloom's TransMod modulation system lets you modulate almost all its parameters with a variety of sources - built-in step-sequencers, LFOs, envelope follower and more. Additional MIDI-derived sources let you change the delay time per note or vary the feedback amount with note velocity. You can even modulate modulators with each other to create fascinating new shapes of movement. The plugin also includes an internal MIDI learn system for tweaking parameters live, turning Bloom into a versatile performance effect.

Massive thyesnks = R2R + funtime!

Does Bloom come with a standalone version?

No - Bloom is an effect plugin designed to be used within a suitable VST/AU/RTAS-compatible host or DAW.

What operating systems are compatible with Bloom?

Bloom is supported on Windows 7 and Mac OSX 10.6.2 or later (Mac support on Intel only). It is provided in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. It may work on older OS versions, but we cannot test or offer support on these platforms.

Can Bloom be MIDI-controlled?

Yes, although it is fully dependent on your host's MIDI implementation for effect plugins. In many hosts, it is necessary to run Bloom as an instrument or as a 'MIDI-controlled effect' on an instrument channel in order to be able to route MIDI to the plugin. Bloom allows you to assign MIDI CCs to its parameters (and to parameter modulation depth amounts from individual TransMod modulation sources), and also features some extra MIDI note-triggered functions - for resetting LFO cycles and changing their rates, and also for generating various modulation sources, such as note pitch, velocity and a random number generator.

Can Bloom be automated from my DAW?

Yes, all of Bloom's parameters are exposed as automation parameters to the host.

@ Gamma,

doesn't seem to want to install here(xp)says "installer is not a valid win32 app..??"

The same problem occurs here too under 'XP Pro SP3 (x86-32bit)'.
Maybe 'Team R2R' will fix this problem soon (?) by providing a proper working 'Installer'.

In the meantime, and if you absolutely want to use the version provided here, simply follow the following steps :

1. Open the included 'Installer***' folder, then the 'Payload' folder,
then the 'Binaries' folder, and finally choose the desired version
to be used (either the folder 'Win_x86', or the 'Win_x64').
Take the desired version and place it within your usual VST Plugins folder :

e.g. C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\FXpansion\... <--
(If you already have others FXpansion products installed, this folder must to be already present, if not, create it and put your 'Bloom.dll' inside it).

2. Now go to C:\Program Files\FXpansion (If already present, if not,
create a new 'FXpansion' folder).
Within this 'FXpansion' folder, create a new folder and name it : 'Bloom'.
Inside this 'Bloom' folder, you can then place the following folders
and files that are present within the 'Installer***' folder, and as follows :

- Bloom Installer.fis
- 'Presets***' and 'Resources***' folders (found inside 'Components',
itself found inside 'Payload')
- Personally, I don't have placed the 'Documents' and 'SlideSlow' folder
as it seems that they are not mandatory to the good functioning of
this Plugin.
- and finally, I placed all the content of the 'Resources' folder
(16 '.png' images) within the previous 'Resources***' folder
(beside the others resources)
- As the 'Bloom Uninstaller.exe' is not effective too, I decided to not place it neither...

The last step if you want to get all the Factory Presets available
within the 'Bloom' Presets scrolling Menu is to simply make a copy
of the 'Presets***' folder and place it
within the following location :

C:\Documents and Settings\User XXX <-- You !\My Documents\FXpansion\Bloom\... <-- here !
(If these folders : 'FXpansion' and 'Bloom' are not available, simply create them).

After all these tedious steps rofl , you finally get the following :

'Bloom v1.0.0 (Build 5)' working perfectly...

and

All the 'Factory Presets' available through the Presets scrolling Menu...

Hope it help ! wink

Thank you so much! That was quick! :)

Just a little word of caution... Rapidgator "served" me a FXpansion.Bloom.v1.0.0.5-R2R.rar.EXE file. I downloaded it and tested it in VirtualBox... it looks like their downloader of some kind, and it did download the RAR correctly, but it also installed a new addon in Firefox called "brrowse2save" [not a spelling error]. I don't know what the hell that shit is all about and neither I care. I'm not going to download from Rapidgator any more, screw them! I don't want to start the VirtualBox and do this every time, for every download. What do you think? That's a bit over the edge, innit??

EDIT: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/browse-to-save-ads/ Brrowse2save is a browser addon that feeds you with ads. damn Cretins. I say lose Rapidgator, they serve us bullshit, so we shell serve some bullshit to them. They don't know what to do any more to make more profit. Well, I say let's give them profit up their arse! headbang

Because of this bullshit and speeds of 50kB/sec I started using some other website that uses torrents instead. It's so much quicker. Persisting on using file hosters like this scum is leading nowhere... SAiNT.

Take it easy man...all you need to do is untick the box that says 'use downloader' and the download will commence normally.

Damn, I haven't seen the tick/untick box since I use a custom page style which protects my eyes from all the whiteness of the Internet and people having no respect for their eyes. AudioZ and KVR look like all the Internet should look like :) The problem with this basic page layout is that I can't see a thing like that here and there as the page doesn't show it or even render it at all.

Thanks for the hint, Captain F! ;) Cheers!

EDIT: I tested what you said, but there was no tick/untick box and they offered me a RAR file for download now. Maybe there was too many complaints, so their minds came back from their arses to their heads? :) Anyway, such stuff is not a good sign of what's to come, and the speed of 50KB/sec these days is plainly rubbish. I only find Bitshare sometimes offering some normal speeds like 200-300KB/sec, but rarely. It could be just me, though. :( I use mediafire for sharing audio files and it works... it works soooo much better: no waiting time, no text input [if that's like your 2nd-3rd download], max speeds, FOR FREE. I don't see what the problem of these file hosters is, damn. :(

I think they're trying to confuse us, Captain. This box was probably there the first time I tried downloading it, but now it's gone.

I suspect this: since they managed to "serve me" the ads crap, they don't try to do it any more. They probably made a note somewhere in the "cookie"... yes - there's a "web_downloader" variable in the cookie.

I've removed the cookie... trying... ha! The tick-box, it's there now. So they make note of it. ;) When you install this crap once, they won't serve you crap any more. It's probably also IP bound.

But really... I mean... wtf? :( Incredible what kinds of shit they're trying now. Soon they'll be installing viruses and trojans on our computers, damn it. [not they won't, I'm exaggerating :)]

Cheers! and thanks for help to get to the bottom of this, Captain-F. ;)
