Is there a way to add all libraries which you have to Kontakt with one step?
I think there was a tool posted here some weeks ago, but it was only for Win7 64 bit.

Is there a way for Win7 32 bit?

This tool is made to add libraries one by one, so you cant add a all libraries in only one step. Sorry.

It would be nice some mirrors more, Uploaded says is saturated, return later...

Right now, if you make an update of Kontakt, you have to add all your libraries one by one, right?
Or is there another way?

If you update Kontakt, normaly you dont loose the libraries nor their order.
But if you want to be sure and/or if you want to protect your work from a crash, follow these steps:

Open REGEDIT

Find the hives

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Native Instruments
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/Native Instruments

Do a FILE - EXPORT and choose "selected hive" and save both those hives to REG files.

Now you have a backup, that you can later import to your registry, and recover both your libraries and their order by dobleclicking on each file.

Normally when you update (cracked) Kontakt, you have to uninstall previous versions first... or not?
At least I think that is written in the most NFOs.
That's why I always lost all libraries.

Yes Gulliver, it is always written in the nfo. But I never done it and until now I had no problem.

With one exception, if you have version 4.xx and go to 5.xx you may loose access to 4.xx own library so I installed 5 apart from 4 and have both to keep compatibility for my old work.

But with version 5 I had done all the update without uninstalling it.

Important : I have a complete backup of my system every month and sometime, I wait that I have a recent backup made, before installing some possibly unstable/difficult to get back versions/risky things. So I can take that kind of risk. I invite every body to do this.
Or if you dont have space to do it, at least you can backup you registry.

What if an update for Kontakt is from a different group than the one before?
Let's say, Kontakt 5.1 from group XY, and now we have Kontakt 5.2 from group YX.
Would you, in this case, also install it without de-installing the old first?

Because, groups dont change the program as itself, at least not that one. They use to look for protections and take it off, thats all.
At least until now I didnt had a conflict because of this, where ever we speak about good work from the Teams/Group.

Now lets say you have a bad job form a Team and the prog is not well "liberated" then yes, it is better to uninstall before trying an other version.

i noticed some questions so i felt obligated to register and answer , also this is a nice forum and might be helpful .

as for adding a group of libraries at once , i just finished that and added it to the tool , you will be able to select a group of folders and add them all at once with no conflict in library Identifiers .

i enhanced the design a little bit and fixed some bugs on 32bit systems , also added a backup and restore function to make it easier in case of a format or whatever use you may put it to ..

this will be available in the 3.0 release which is almost finished but i am waiting to publish my website so it'll be easier for everyone to download any software or tool i create .. and yes it will remain free but donations are always welcome :D

so this tool fix broken libraries? like the ones with lack of .nkc and .nkx files?

or libraries with "missing file" warnings becouse they are in wrong folders ?

This tool is for create or fix libraries.

It does not fix the samples wrong folder problem.

Forgive me for asking, as I don't want to risk a flame war, but given how specialized a product this is, it's probably not out of line to ask:

Can anyone suggest a similar solution for Kontakt on OSX?

I have dozens of libraries, mix of purchased and downloaded, mix of K5 and K4 (and probably some earlier) - some of the latter need to be reloaded into the libraries tab every time I boot Kontakt. And I have hundreds of other libraries - purchased, downloaded, blended, created by me - not in the library tab. I've been CRAVING a tool like this forever. But, alas, I work on a Mac.

Frubbs If you dont want to wait for someone to do a program like this for MAC, you should try the nicnt method. As this method dont depend of the system.
