sounds pretty good actually...and rather plug and play

I tried it and was surprised about the metal tones cause I had the vox tonlab se for a while and they REALLY improved in that department, it's really good if you dont want complex effect chains /setups wink

This is what I wanted quick and dirty access to and older hardware sim
Why is it that when you got the best crap then something tiny like this comes along and it just feels good using it and the latency is incredible on this app, very tight!!!!

Thumbs up for the release of this app been waiting for it

I highly recommend this sim, no offence it does not hold a candle next to amplitube 3, guitar 5 but it holds its own on the fast and clean and super quick edditing!!!!

WTF I have been using this crap for hours LMFAO!! more longer than any time with other guitar sims

I'll quit now lol phones

lysergyk,
I owned the first Tonelab desktop and now LE, and i can tell two words about metal on them :
"use pedal"

You can nail any metal sound with the right pedal in front of the right amp.
That's the big difference with PODs and such, providing a lot of modern metal amps simulations.

But, at the end, i prefer my Tonelab LE for metal...even if ppl think it is for blues mates When i crunch, i feel like using a tube amp, and i owned several.
I sold the last one and kept my Tonelab LE.

This is like when i tested LePou amps (LE456,Legion) against ALL others : same DI tracks and cab sim.
Revalver,GR,Amplitube,Vandal(and a lot more)...between "bees can" and lack of dynamic, there was no real winner against LePou ones.

Now i use only the two LePou for high gain.
It is not really limited, because a killer amp with pedals is better than a bunch of not-so differents and not-so good ones

You can get a good sound from anything, but there are more limits about the most difficult sound to achieve : killer high gain

PS : sorry ppl about the long post, but guitar/music is a passion ;)
I've nothing to sell and i don't try to convince anyone, that's just my point of view.
It may help some ppl to test things and find their own way.

yep I know with pedals the SE works rather well but considering the size (and weight!) of the unit ... I was not to keen on carrying extra stompboxes w/ it at the time!
I now hav a hd500 (got others in between) and it's OK for metal, actually it just needs a good panning (60/60 for some reason) w/ a dual amp setup ....and it sounds pretty good without tweaking for ages...
anyway metal-wise nothing touches my good old diezel herbert.... but it's not a family friendly amp...especially if like me you often play in the dead of night!^^

I agree about the other softs too...lepou with good IRs is pretty decent, and also TSE x30 and 50 are quite all right depending of the tone you need...revalver, amplitube3, GTR, guitar rig and so forth offer a lot more option but sound wise dont deliver much better...TH2 is not bad however
at any rate VOX got it right, just like an amp..plug turn 2 or 3 knobs and off you rock!
