[dead] Native Instruments Maschine STANDALONE VST VSTi RTAS v1.7.1 Update x86/x64

Goodie...since i started checking out Maschine a couple of days ago i was hoping for this to be released soon...


The RLS seems OK, but Native Instruments...man these guys suck. Their obsession with proprietary formats annoys the living hell out of me...or can anyone think of one damn reason why an audio app that supports VST hosting should NOT feature the ability to load and save .fxb and .fxp?

No, rather than going with an established standard, at least as a SECONDARY option, it has to be restricted to .mfxp, a format which no other application in the universe supports. So that a preset you made while a synth was hosted in Maschine is guaranteed NEVER to be used in any other app unless the synth has the option to save as .fxp/.fxb itself.

Spent hours and hours making presets/banks for a synth or effect which does not have its own preset management? Tough luck, you wont be loading any of them while the synth/effect is hosted in Maschine because NI thinks that supporting a preset standard which is accepted worldwide for decades is unimportant.

Sometimes i cant help but thinking that common sense is just not en vogue anymore...

@ tkrojam iso install,1.5 is for extra drum content, then you can go straight to 1.71" Hope that helps you out.Have a nice day

I have set up Machine myself just a couple of days ago, what you need for a complete installation with all content is the following:

Maschine 1.0 (ISO)

Maschine 1.0.3 Update

Maschine Factory Content 1.1

Maschine Factory Content 1.5

Maschine 1.7.1 Update

(The other updates just overwrite each other so you dont need them.)


Just be sure to install it all in the right order and youll be fine...

Fine, is Maschine 1.0.3 Update a must? is 1.5 included all contents from 1.1? I installed 1.5 and found the VST file version already 1.5 but I skipped 1.0.3 and 1.1

Please re-read my post, especially the part after the comma in the 1st sentence.

VSTs are just 1 file... installing other versions is a waste of time

you just need one version with the factory content (in case you want the original samples) then apply this update

for people that doenst have any version you still can use just the update (you will have just the software but no original factory content = the samples)

this rule applys to all VST and VSTI.

There is no 'one version with the factory content'.

Update 1.0.3, Factory Content 1.1 and Factory Content 1.5 all add content to the basic setup which is not included in any of the other installers.

Hence for a complete setup that includes ALL factory content you need 1.0 ISO, Update 1.0.3, FC 1.1 and FC 1.5

After that you may install 1.7.1

There is a a MAC version too ? This is only PC.

surely there is a better way to be posting these files, i mean anyone who wants maschine really needs all files not just the update! Most older files are dead so you have to go off site for the solution.
