A modern go at the famous Yamaha CS-80 Synthesizer.

ANALOG OSCILLATORS
UNSTABLE features two synthesis layers, each offering a noise, sawtooth, and pulse wave oscillator, with adjustable pulse width and variable speed pulse width modulation. Unlike the Yamaha CS-80, the level of each oscillator is adjustable, allowing for free mixing of the waveforms, which are closely modeled after the original.

FILTERS
The CS-80 features two state-variable filters in series, which allow for a unique subtractive sound synthesis, unlike most common synthesizers. In UNSTABLE, the high-pass filter is modeled after the original; the low-pass filter, however, features a Moog-style ladder filter with the capability to self-oscillate, providing a vast range of musical harmonics.

RING MODULATOR
The Yamaha CS-80 features the most musical ring modulator ever built, and we did our best to model it as closely as possible, with its own analog-style attack and decay envelope modifying the modulation speed.

RIBBON CONTOLLER
Use the innovative on screen ribbon controller to pitch bend your sound up to an octave.

ARPEGGIATOR
UNSTABLE will feature a sophisticated 16 step arpeggiator with variable note and modulation values. The arpeggiator is functioning, however, all options are not fully implemented yet.

DRIVE
A dedicated drive circuit adds analog warmth and subtle harmonic distortion for loudness and crisp presence that cuts through your mix.

EFFECTS
UNSTABLE features the popular effect engines of DarkStar Reverb and Delay, as well as the luscious WingMen Chorus, to bring your sound to the next level. Imagine a CS-80 with something along the JUNO-60 Chorus and Blackhole reverb.

No need Codesign... you can find/see it under Logic/Instrument/My Company

can´t find unstable...doesn´t exist in the plugin manager...nothing with " my company" or "morphoice"...maybe it´s my logic ( v 11.0.1 )?

'UNSTABLE.component' (the plug) need to stay in 'Plug-ins Component' folder but in Logic you will see it under My Company...

10.6.2... but I see no reason why Logic 11 should not open it.
As a last resort try a Codesign Complete (all 6/7 steps).

In the worst case scenario, if this helps, you don't lose anything so exceptional because it come with very few presets... or wait for the final version when will be full of good presets.

The only thing I find, is a "my company"-folder un user/Lib/apllication support...I give it up...can´t get the plugin to show up in logic. thanx anyway

Do you install the plug in the right way?
The 'UNSTABLE.component' (the real AU plug) is it in the 'Plug-ins Component' folder? Control if it is there...

Well, now go in Plug-ins Manager and see if it is Authorized... (search for Unstable).
If yes (as I suppose) open an Instrument Track, click on Instrument > AU Instruments and select it under > My Company

Try this: open Logic > BC PatchWork Synth > Parallel Chains > Click on + > Load AU > UNSTABLE.component.

Now the plug will open... is that so?

Depends on the price. I just saw that they are going to release Linndrum and Juno-6 modeled VST's. I hope they maintain the same quality in those, as they did with this, I can hardly wait to find out!

Download the Demo preset file on the site (only 25 sounds) and unzip it, then open the plug and click on Browser (the third label at the bottom of the plug).
After click on "MORE" (at left up near the star) and then on 'Show Preset Folder'. That is the location where the presets go.

Now copy the preset folder (or just some preset) you've downloaded from the site into it.

This officially still in beta. I suspect the author will move it to the (non-free) "buy" category once it's more stable, like the rest of their (effect) plugins.
