Paralogy is a software instrument for Microsoft Windows (VST2/VST3/CLAP/AAX) and Apple macOS (VST2/VST3/CLAP/AU/AAX) simulating the paraphonic Crumar Trilogy and Stratus keyboards from the early 1980s. It is written in native C++ code for high performance and low CPU consumption.

Main features are:
Close simulation of the original hardware
Fully "polyphonic" paraphonic madness
Organ, Synthesizer and String sections
Additional Phaser and Delay effects
Resizable user interface (not "N" version!)
MIDI Learn – all parameters can be controlled by MIDI CC
Plug-in supports Windows and macOS (32 bit and 64 bit)

Free, bug-free software beats analog hardware - it's finally here thanks to FullBucketMusic!

Short comment on the original:

But even with CRUMAR there are gradations. Those who own a Crumar DS-2 synthesizer need a lot of patience and, above all, nerves of steel. After all, roughly 8 out of 10 of these synthesizers only work partially or not at all. Owners of a Crumar Spirit need a lot of patience and, above all, a lot of time to somehow understand the almost intriguing nesting around Mod X and Mod Y.

Finally, all those with a Crumar Trilogy need patience, but above all a lot of imagination and the unshakable belief that this instrument is actually a fully-fledged synthesizer (which, strictly speaking, is only partially true).

The Crumar Trilogy came onto the market in 1983 and has certainly driven some musicians (especially those with little patience) crazy. If you step through the (seven) factory presets, you will be confronted with a meager and sometimes almost fragile sound that does not fit at all with the stylish appearance of the tastefully designed synthesizer.

Free and good yes but far from beating analogue hardware.
