Let's put this to the test. See if it's even close to UVR.

Yup. It's pathetic. UVR still rules.

I am waiting to see when we get a dedicated desktop app that is a full splitter and not web-based. I would bet we are not far off from that.

I would imagine that this type of tool will put Karaoke song companies out of business.

To be honest, I thought they were all bankrupt, horrible machines with those prehistoric MIDI sounds, which we were very grateful for while they were useful, but evolved into the absurdity that they are today.

In the annals of music history, we have the tale of the advent of the keyboard.
I wouldn't be surprised if, in the future, we see a chapter dedicated to the advent of Kontakt.

A few days ago I used this:

Online vocal remover

It did a perfect job with Adam Port - The Dream (it has a very annoying spanish voice track)
And the other track I had to reomve the vocal from Mathey - Ameyatchi

Both tracks the music is amazing but the singing/vocal tracks are horrible

I use this occasionally when I need something SOS. Now the only question is, out of the bunch of available offline and online plugins, which ones perform the best/highest quality separation? Has anyone compared these plugins? (I'm afraid this will be considered offtopic, so please consider posting in the forum instead.)

It's not out offtopic to compare this to what's out there.

Since the entire process used in the past by humans has evolved into an algorithm that AI can execute in record time, it now operates as simply as a macro. Vocalremover org as mentioned above by
WhiteBear, is the fastest option available, delivering results that often exceed expectations. Unfortunately, none of these tools can effectively isolate the soprano, tenor, or choir from a symphonic orchestra.

According to my direct experience, the best software for separating the voices or more generally the stems that make up a song is Spectralayers 11 by Steinberg. Starting from the assumption that no online app will offer the same result as a desktop software which, among other things, can count on the use of all the machine's resources and even take 10/15 minutes for a single processing, Spectralayers differs from other software for the number of stems it manages to isolate, over 11 including vocal lead and backing vocals

I'm usually trying to pull vocals out samples to make a beat around them, not sample a piece of music without vocals, but I'm gonna give this site a run thru since it has a bunch of tools available. Thanks.

Update: Used that site once to scoop out some vocals and it did a surprisingly good job for a free website, and in-line for my compositional needs, but it then told me that I had exceeded the track limit for my IP address, so my review ends there. Pretty ridiculous. I obviously could use my VPN, but c'mon...

the problem with all the AI separations is that they leave behind a lot of artefacts and a lot of bit and resonance parts. basically you would have to develop an app that can do all of this, not just separate vocals from songs but also the remaining noise and background sounds like noise and bit parts, just like artefacts. many AI rmeovers sometimes have white sidechains when separating because of the drums. then the vocals sometimes have a sidechain in them because of the drum parts, which is really annoying in the long run.
I assume that almost all apps and programs have the standard codes for vocal remover, so I suspect that this one is one of them.

Have you guys not heard of using RiPXPro? Yes I agree its not user friendly its hard but you need to try and learn how to use it properly and once you get to know thoroughly it is amazing you will never use anything else like it again. You can rip any Voice, Synth, Samples etc.. anything, it takes a bit of time and patience but the end results are perfect

Soundify Vocal Remover, UVR and vocalremover.org are better than iZotope RX 11 Music Rebalance?
Someone tested it?

For me, UVR is still king/ish. Demucs is a close second.

It's impressive how this new AI tool works. In the past, I would spend a painstaking 10 days isolating or removing vocals.
Long ago, it took six months to a year for Americans to extract the voices of legendary artists who had already passed away, such as Nat King Cole, to create new arrangements for duets with his daughter, or Frank Sinatra with Bono Vox, and Louis Armstrong for a fresh orchestral rendition of 'What A Wonderful World.'

If you're complaining about the dirt or noise from the bass blending to the drums after separation, consider focusing on creating your own original work. Just the Neumann M49 microphone alone costs as much as a car.

Recently, we have access to online tools for free that accomplish all of this in just one minute.

Having been a musician for so long and witnessing the slow pace of progress, I truly appreciate the AI being able to separate the voice, bass, and drums so fast. That's already a significant improvement in audio, for those unfamiliar with this process, altering a final audio recording is nearly impossible.

While AI has made strides in music, it still cannot isolate soloists from a symphony orchestra, I tried some moises.ai and lalal.ai, and the result was rotten.

I'd suggest for anyone that is really into the cream of the crop in terms of stems splitting to try the paid version of mvsep. 20 bucks get you a lot of splitting time of their premium ensemble which is stellar.

It's fine if you don't like a release and comment as such, but downvoting for that reason is not. Downvotes are only for posts where the content of a release has issues, such as an installer is broken, totally wrong content in the release, contains a virus etc., that sorta thing ;)

Does everything need to be spelled out in great detail?

Of course, under those circumstances using the report/PM functions are crucial, as well as commenting about the issue (it's also partly your responsibility as a Resident here).

Regarding releases of the past, I didnt write the rules, nor design the site, I cant speak to what took place in the past, only the present. If you're unhappy with a rule, have a better solution to offer, feel free to PM the power that be about it! ;)

UVR can nothing but which model do you prefer and why on which content? That is the question!
There are a lot of dicussions around Demucs, MDX, Spleeter, Open-Unmix and many more models.

The answer to the most asked question: What is the model which provides the best results? [Read this, very important info inside!]

Just hearing about the Grammy Award nomination to Beatles song "Now and Then" which old John Lennon home recorded vocal removed, and replaced the solo piano of original song with Paul and Ringo instruments.

This is quite easy to accomplish; you didn't even need AI, but it take a long time. This feat was first achieved 37 years ago with the second version of Louis Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful World.' Since then, there have been other notable collaborations, such as Nat King Cole with his daughter and Sinatra with Bonovox, which occurred 32 and 34 years ago, respectively. What has been done with John Lennon can now be replicated online in just one minute using AI, which is the only area where AI in music achieves results that are nearly perfect. Drums and bass also yield impressive outcomes.

Grammy?
I never watch the Grammys because it always features the same artists chosen for political reasons.

John Lennon's music received the Grammy for Best Rock Performance, despite having no actual performance to showcase; Who will ultimately receive the awardβ€”the cassette tape or the AI? The most concerning aspect is that the AI is competing against legendary idols of flesh and blood.

It's absurd that BeyoncΓ© won for 'Best Country Album'; that was never, and will never be, country music.
