Pros:

- Excellent design and interface that makes Wavetable and FM synthesis intuitive and fun to explore.
- Brilliant selection and implementation of effects. The ability to load the same effect more than once is an expansive feature.
- The routing boxes on the FM Matrix can receive modulation from the various modulation sources. This is an exceptional workflow for controlling the depth of frequency modulation.
- LFOs are flexible and can be used as Multi-Stage Envelope Generators (MSEGs).
- A feature-rich Wavetable oscillator with plenty of sound-design potential.
- Users can import samples directly into the Wavetable oscillator for re-synthesis.
- A committed developer who actively participates with their community to evolve the synth.

Cons:

- The addition of more factory content (Presets and Wavetables etc.) is in the pipeline, and will be a welcome addition to showcase the full potential of the synth.
- Currently, Wavetables can’t be viewed in 3D. This can sometimes hinder the selection process.
- Wavetables can’t be edited directly within Ghost at the time of writing.
- Users must be familiar with two types of synthesis (Wavetable and FM) to get maximum value from the instrument. This presents a potentially steep learning curve for newcomers to music production and synthesis.

Obviously there's a law of diminishing returns with synths with steep learning curves in a crowded market, if the sounds it produces are an absolute gamechanger then it's worth it, but if you can pretty much do it already on other synths then it's a big old CON.

100%. The majority of self-described 'composers' take themselves so insanely seriously whilst having virtually zero relevancy to the world of music, or composition for that matter. By all means enjoy making music and take pride in your knowledge but don't for a second think the fact you geeked out on the books a bit more means your in touch with some higher plain of musical importance because it ABSOLUTELY does not.

There’s no single sound that has ever 'changed the game' it’s all about how humans perceive things. And over time, people just move on and forget.

This synth isn’t offering anything groundbreaking in terms of synthesis features. It’s the same FM grid with a wavetable option. If you understand how different osc engines work, every synth is just the same but different interface, maybe with some extra effects and a different UI color scheme.

I highly encourage people to learn the basics of synthesis engines instead of getting pressed. Like I said in my original statement, it’s just a skill issue."

Apart from any skill purpose, I'm simply glad that the issue I had encountered in Sonar with the previous version is now fixed, it doesn't freeze this DAW anymore.

A very inspiring synth in my opinion, thanks funtime + R2R

first impression - no scalable GUI. With a 27" Monitor and 2K resolution it already gets difficult to read the knobs titles, preset names etc.. Normally a nogo although it has some nice preset sounds.

to the developer: please explain why in 2025 you release a vst synth with a shitty user interface that CAN'T be resized on a 4k monitor? are you still stuck somewhere in 2005 with your 1024x768 and live in a cave ? also it made crash studio one 7 into an endless loop , uninstalled & deleted.
