I find Arturia's emulation very interesting, they have nothing to envy of IK, I would say that it is very colorful and warm overall it has an undeniable grain, personally it convinced me at the first test

Is this one better than Rc 20 and J37 by waves?

Is this one really the best tape machine plugin?

Thanks for the release! Interesting emulation, but IMHO, IKM Tape 80 and UAD's still are better than this one. If anyone's looking for the best tape plugins, here's my top 5 after testing almost all:

1. UAD ATR102
2. UAD Studer A800
3. IKM Tape 80
4. Cupreels AX102 (for Nebula)
5. ToTape8 by Airwindows

Did you try TBTECH's TapeMAI and TapeSAI? If not, you should...

thanks. I'm really curious how it stands against the mighty atr-102..

it's great. with the ST Offset and adding some 20% instability, oversampling set to render, it creates some very interesting stereo irregularities . noise profile stays the same regardless of ips. this is some next level tech under the hood. 10/10

I'm an U-He Satin dude all day. I like dialing in my saturation 'Feelz.'

Let's see can the Struder live up to the audacity of being 300+mb's.

The file size is the result of Arturia's extremely inefficient UI programming. The actual plugin is probably less than a third of that size lmao

every single plugin from Artua is 250+MB. Insane.

it's the AI models data that actually consume the big space here. The code itself is small

It's not the coding, it's the image files. They're massive.

Softube Tape is still my go-to for that subtle tape feel (and also the amazing high shelf), but after watching the walkthrough yesterday I want to give this one a try. My life got so much better after I stopped looking for tape emus that are as lifelike as possible and instead started looking for tape that makes things better when they're on.

i was curious about this one.
so far, uad - ampex, studer, oxide, and verve, are miles above the rest.
i hope it's not as grainy and muddy as ik's.
lately, i've been uninstalling arturia plugins, wherever i find alternatives. they take a ton of space, and, to my ears, they're never the best of anything. they are among the best, but there's always a few that are better. i usually like their guis - except those psychedelic/"modernistic" ones, which give me the creeps. when it comes to those pngs, though...
thanks r2r. incredibly fast.

hi guys, i'm having a trouble with this version and the mellotron as well and few others i think. I installed a lot of arturia plugins since a while, i tried everything, removing Mellotron and Tape j-37 and installing again but they stay in demo mode.

And only these ones. A bit scared to unistall everything and install everything again. Does it happens to any of you too ?
