Thanks to a wonderful professor and engineer, here's a version of Audacity compiled with ASIO support (Win only) + multichannel support extended to 128 channels (Win and Mac)!

You have to know that ASIO support is not officially supplied by the devs, because the licenses are definitely incompatible with each other. So those who really want ASIO have to compile the program themselves, a complicated task not everyone can handle (even if you can find scripts on the official site, I admit I still scratch my head to understand the whole process)

Right now, the last compiled "ASIO + 128ch" version available is 3.6.1 (last stable version). So to access the DL (Win or Mac) you'll have to click on the "3.6.1-128ch+ASIO/" folder.

For Win, no need any installation, simply create a folder where you want and unpack the *WIN.zip file in it.

For Mac, first choose ARM or Intel version, then just decompress and drag the .app included in the .zip to your /Applications folder. Perhaps you will have to authorize, change attributes or "deep-sign" the app.

Regularly, new versions are added, it's why the link at the bottom points to the folder where all the different versions are posted, just add it to your favorites so that you will be able to DL future versions, when / if they will be available.
