What you can do is determine which plugins you will actually use from the collection & delete the rest from the VST, VST3, AAX folders as needed.

At the moment I am down to 13. Three of these are curiosity holds for now. Using in an actual project will the deciding factor of what to keep if any.

personally, i occasionally use the studio reverbs, the tapes, the distressor, master match, and that's about it. i rarely use them, cause i have better alternatives for every category, but i just don't want to part with them just yet.

they're some good concepts and ergonomics behind them, controls wise, and some great... let's say intentions, in terms of sound, so i keep them, for comparisons and the occasional use, but, imo, passing the reverbs through saturated signal chains, as a concept, is a bust - hard to use in a signal chain where i use pres, tapes, and consoles anyway.

imo, ik has great range of devices and very good mastery of interfaces and controls, but never sound the best of anything. there's always (significantly) better. and they would do a lot better to have linked ins & outs for their saturation based plugins. that's an ergonomics slip up.

out of curiosity: what is a better alternative in your opinion for the IK Tapes?
currently loving the Tape Machine 80, but I am still open for anything that could sound even better maybe!

Thanks for the advice. I just did that and the error appeared again (at the end of the installation and after trying to open the VST inside my DAW), it's the first time I come across this problem. I'm having this issue with T-Racks and Amplitube.

Yes, I did. Anyway, I solved the problem... It was a silly mistake: I install all my plugins on an external drive to stay more organized, so I always end up changing the default installation path. However, it seems that this causes issues with IK Multimedia software—probably due to its keygen/registration design.

So, I reinstalled it without modifying the destination folder, and now it’s working fine.

You can manage the placements of your files as you wish through hard links, specially about large libraries &/or databases ...by making hard links. The system will *think* that everything is in place while you place what you want wherever you want.
