Saturation just got smarter
Give your tracks exactly what they need, exactly where and when they need it. Unlike traditional saturators that apply a static effect, Plasma’s groundbreaking Flux Saturation technology analyzes your sound and applies dynamic processing, adding precise warmth, depth, and character to bring out the best in your mixes and masters.
Your new secret sauce
Whether you’re looking to gently warm up your sound or crank it into overdrive, Plasma’s intuitive interface and easy-to-use controls have you covered. And yes, you can use it on everything—from individual mix elements to entire masters.
Target Profiles & Character Settings
Guide Plasma’s Flux Saturation with one of 24 Target Profiles, featuring anything from drums and vocals to full masters. Then, fine-tune Plasma’s effect with easy Attack and Release settings, plus an Overdrive fader for some extra crispy, crunchy goodness.
Channel Modes & Frequency Handles
Use Frequency Handles to separately boost the highs, mids, and lows. With Channel Modes, you can enhance the center of your mix or widen the stereo field, as well as shape the attack and tail of your sound for more precise control.
Explore 49 presets
Bright? Deep? Balanced? Warm? No matter what kind of vibe you want, Plasma's custom-built presets make it easy to find a quick starting point.

thanks VR and zetas for spreading.

Q: why does izotope always chooses such gay & intense colors?

EDIT: i am not homophobic or anything. gay was really meant about the overdone colors, if you thought in another direction, its your fault.
But why does Izotope overdo the colors so much? makes me not using it simply bcs of that fact!
i miss izotope being serious in their product design. man they had so many great products, with a decent and great GUI design.
If you want to supply something, you can. PM is open for that.

Saying something is gay is not homophobic. Saying eww gay people are next to me is homophobic. Who knows maybe articstorm meant this saturator likes saturators of the same sex color.

I understood what you meant by gay, without it sounding homophobic. Word definitely has a dual meaning. But I prefer the "ghey" spelling, to be mindful of all the sensies out there

Isn't this some kind of Oeksound Bloom alternative?
  Resident 5.09.2017 167
+110
No, it's not. Bloom is an EQ with some compression tacked in. This is just a saturator.

I don't know for sure, but this is what I gathered after 10 minutes without doing any serious testing, I could be wrong :

It's the Ozone Clarity module, but instead of boosting the frequency directly in parallel, it boosts the frequency pre waveshaping dynamically in the parallel saturation path which will then blended back with the original signal. The usual Pink Noise reference or maybe Izotope's own reference curve for detection path. User gets some control for the envelope speed but not the curve tilting (like Ozone Clarity).

Technically what it does is using saturation (adding harmonics) instead of an EQ (frequency boosting) to balance the track to the reference curve.

It will be game changing if it really is adding harmonics (even or odd order heavy) correctly depending on the track's need, but I doubt it. If it analyze the track "damn this needs some tape".. bammmm add some Studer sat.. "this needs some Tube warmth" bammm add tube sat. Well that would be awesome isn't it.

great, Stevie, then it's a kind of sofisticated " dynamic saturation"!

its a waves vitamin ripoff, singleband, without imaging on every channel and also no transient designer

im actually surprised they still think single band in 2024

Waves Vitamin is not a spectral saturator, it's a regular multiband saturator. It has 5 bands, while in comparison, iZotope Plasma has 1024 "bands" (if it has the same FFT resolution as Clarity and the other spectral modules in Ozone). In other words, Plasma has about 200x more bands than Vitamin has.

Sure, you don't have manual control over each and every single band individually because that would be completely useless with so many "bands", but you instead have a bunch of reference curves that it tries to match the output of, which is much more useful with processors like this.

Arcticstorm, if you didn't know, is a time traveler from sometime in the late 19th century London where gay was used as the word/idea describing happiness. Every once in a while he falls back into the old lingo. There's no homophobic DNA in his body. A sentence that could have been spoken during Arcticstorm's "Zeitgrundlegend" might have been..." Beside the technical prowess the band proffered during their performance at the Gramercy Hotel last Saturday night, the band seemed like it was having a real gay time.

Nothing to see here! Happy and intense colors is a thing.
Music is always a commentary on society.
