I always used r2r stuff and i was always satisfied.

Put the last time i deleted my whole oveloud stuff everything linke in the descripton and installed it new put nothings work anymore same with stl.

Is this a Bad joke?

I Use windows 11 so what could be wrong?

Works fine here (Win 10 22H2).

Do a deep uninstall (preferably through Revo + CCleaner)

"Uninstall & Cleaning

Uninstall previous versions.

Clean up previous licenses in "%PUBLIC%\Documents\STL\".
.account, *.trl, *.sub, *.lic

Be careful, Team VR sets "system" attribute to those files.
It should be invisible in some computers.

For noobs who can't find previous license:
Open Command Prompt. And put following commands.
cd %PUBLIC%\Documents\STL
attrib /s -s -h -r
Now all files should have normal attributes."

Once done wipe off that STL folder in %PUBLIC%\Documents\

Add this to your hosts file;

#STL TONES
0.0.0.0 userarea.stltones.com
0.0.0.0 www.spirionix.com
0.0.0.0 spirionix.com
0.0.0.0 stltones.com

Edit for Win 11 users; install again, do not run STL Tones, AmpHub or Control, restart in safe mode & run R2R's KG. Restart again in normal mode & test.

i could be wrong Nocturn, but i'm guessing this all assumes you have a network adaptor active (are online), its my experience that if I'm completely offline as i choose to be, the "please login to you r account" screen will show up even if I've gone through these steps. would you tell me if this is your experience?

EDIT; I forgot to mention that this inability to validate STL Tones products happens frequently in Windows 11. You have to completely disable Windows Defender, and that gets complicated when you have another antivirus installed. But I mention Windows 11 because I have seen in version 23H2 that one of the security updates disables the user's ability to control Windows Defender. What happened in those cases (which I saw live) is that, although the KG is executed, the changes are not saved and the STL programs remain as demos.

This is interesting, I haven't installed this release yet but all previous STL (R2R) release worked perfectly (Win 10), only the hosts file had to be modified.

There are many reports from Win 11 users about *demo persistence*. I would try to run the KG in safe mode, if possible.

(Off: Honestly, this whole situation with Win 11... people share a lot of annoying experiences about it. Support for Win 10 will end in fall 2025. Are we left with the Win 11 as an alternative? :))

Could anyone please advise if we can actually download traces, and if so, where do we find them? Trace exchange seems to be off for obvious reasons but I may be missing something. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm sorry, I've done all of the above but traces functionality is still off. Could you kindly advise? Trace exchange shows the following text "An error has occurred while trying to connect to the Activation Server. Please check your internet connection and try again". I apologize for bothering you but I'd really like to get it working :')

I think there's some misunderstanding here. The Traces folder is obviously empty if you don't make your own trace or use Trace Exchange. However, Trace Exchange will not work, as it is an online service of ToneHub. Segments like this did not work in previous STL Tones R2R releases either, see ControlHub. R2R tests its releases on offline machines, so this is not surprising at all. Other R2R plugins do not have an online service either, see Tonex for example. As in the case of ControlHub, the solution would be the same for ToneHub: someone with access to the presets would copy those presets from their machine and share them.

False alert. It's because of the keygen. If you receive an alarm repeatedly, temporarily disable real time protection while using the keygen. (You can be offline during this time if you want...) If you want to keep the keygen, pack it into a rar afterwards. Edit: If you haven't installed STL tones from R2R yet, don't forget to modify the hosts file.

I did everything you said put Notting works.

Since the last windows update stl, overloud and output plugins doesnt work anymore always in demo Mode.

I suspect its the windows defender fault like in 90 % of all cases when i had prblems on my pc.

I give up sometimes you have to know when to let it go.

Put whatever maybe r2r can fix this in the future they can do everything if they want to.

I never said it in public but i wanted to say thank you to r2r and all the Other teams for the hard work they always do.
