Team R2R | 23 Aug 2024 | 30.6MB
The MBSI is a faithful recreation of the MSI console

MBSI is a loving and faithful recreation of one of the most successful custom built consoles in the United States.

Custom built by the technicians at MCI for studio C at Criteria Studios, Miami FL, this console was used in the production of dozens of hit records that sold millions of copies.

Artists such as Eagles, Eric Clapton, the Bee Gees, and Grand Funk Railroad chose this room and this Console to work with some of the world's best producers including Tom Dowd and the legendary Bill Szymczyk.

We teamed up with Make Believe and Bill Szymczyk to bring this legendary console to your DAW for the first time.

Experience the sound of Miami 1976 now.

this sounds like hi end gear to my ears, no cpu, a bit quirky and limited, but im going to use this a lot i think.

looks like my DAWs dont like the VST3... i've tried Reaper, Cubase, Studio One and Wavelab with no luck... the folder structure seems a little bit odd but it should work... is someone else having the same problem (WIN10)?

I've yet to install this so bare with me... but what do you mean by "the folder structure seems a little bit odd but it should work" ?

For me, also on Win10/Live 11, I install everything into common files/VST3, is this not the same?

thanks for the reply... indeed it did goes normally within the Common Files\VST3 folder... here's the folder structure i'm talking about...

EDIT: nevermind... it works now... pretty sure something on my end has tilted...

you can move VST3 freely around (its just some devs forcing it into the common files folder, which i hate), i have my VST3's in a VST3 folder next tot he VST2 folder.
also you can move the vst3 file freely around, even without the json file, which seems to have additional meta data.
If you want to supply something, you can. PM is open for that.

This is emulating something from the 70s 80s... so... a probably transient killer... I'm happy with SSL 9K J channel strip for modern purposes. I think from Make Believe the unique "modern" plugin (bc Serban uses it) it's the Mixhead...

hey guys do you know how to get rid of the MIOConsole3d.log file it leaves on the desktop? if i delete it it comes back after the first run again

Just too limiting (one trick pony). GUI is also glitchy until you make a few parameter adjustments. Odd compressor behavior.

Needs refinement...
