In "about" info, it says it's the 5.1.2 version, though...

Yes it is wrong version it seems... I installed from legit website if you search for
'Groove Agent 5 Download' and installed the following (only) as I'd already installed the content from R2R:
Groove Agent 5.2.10 · Application Installer · 247 MB
and now it say 5.2.10 in Windows Add/Remove (Details) and in the GA5 VSTi it now says 5.2.10.32

Please see my above comment reply first as this seems to be the wrong version but I've written the installation process for what you need to copy and where.
(ignore first two lines now as this is an older version) and install from legit website
After unzipping Groove Agent_64bit.7z
Mount ISO file. Run "GrooveAgentSE_64bit.msi" and install.

If you have "Steinberg Library Manager (SLM)" installation,
=> Run SLM.
=> Drag & Drop included "Content" folder to SLM GUI.
=> Install all. Done!
If you dont have SLM, do manual installation.
=> Copy "Content" folder to "%PROGRAMDATA%\Steinberg\".

You should also install:
Steinberg.Groove.Agent.5.Content-R2R (25.88 GB) and Steinberg Groove Agent 5 Content v5.1.11 Update-R2R (from Yesterday)

with legit version 5.2.10, i get black screen with "no licence found"

[ i would stick to 5.1.2 but theres a bug with the gui , cant see installed package icons]
[installed Halion latest R2R with factory content fron Steinberg)
[installed Groove Agent R2R (this one i.e. 5.1.2) with factory content from Steinberg]
[installed R2R Steinberg Silk Emulator v1.3.0-R2R]
