Sorry i dont understand what "boxes" of Amplitube you mean? a.f.a.i.k Amplitube doesnt have any "boxes" they have IR"s that simulate guitar and bass cabinets.

This plugin doesnt know if your monitors are OK or the quality of your monitors
This plugin can simulate an acoustically well treated room but you need to meassure your room first with a measurement microphone if you buy this plugin it will come with a microphone but you can also use other meassuremtn microphones and Behringer has a cheap one ECM8000 that works fine i guess IK has calibration file for that microphone.

Cal files are usually the mic manufacturer's responsibility. IK just gives you the possibility to use it.

I tried with a Sonarworks mic with a 0 degree cal for that specific microphone with a documented serial number by Sonarworks themselves.

Worked like a charm.

I saw on video that you can use generic calibration microphone with calibration file. Keygen is for v3 and ARC System 4 app won't run without Arc device

You need the H/W for systemwide application to work as it was intended to be used specifically with the H/W, unlike its competitor.

The only way to apply your own speaker calibration in ARC 4 without H/W, is to use the plugin in a DAW.

yes you just have to choose the good mic. cos when you do measurement with mic in vertical position there is like an HPF upper 10khz but more flat till 10khz, with old mic it is compensated by the software. But since the new mic, it's integrate in the mic not the software.
this is why in this test when he measured the mic it over boost treble, cos it compensates

so you can use any measurement mic, just in IK it's vertical position. sonarworks (horizontal position, so it's why you need calibration file of the mic cos in this position if you point the source it tends to do a bell at 2khz to 25khz top of bell 8kz, but you measure better the upper 10khz)

sonarworks stopped to sold his mic , cos it was just a measurement mic like behringer or even very expensive. so could be use with crack vers.

Anyway you get REW EQ it's free open source and do a much better work, get tuto on youtube

If you have downloaded the serial specific cal files from Sonarworks support for the mic itself, you will have accurate results within ARC 4.

comparing Arc3 profile with Arc4 profile both measured with same mic and both in Arc4 instance I hear more clarity in the mids with the new measurement (as it were 2 db louder) lows and highs are pretty similar.

I bought ARC v1, and used it to v3. It helped, and was worth the investment at the time.
Instead of mixing on shitty sounding speakers in a shitty apartment with terrible acoustics, it was like I was mixing on crappy speakers in a crappy apartment with bad acoustics.

After getting VSX my monitors have been in the closest.
