About Aero

Aero is a plugin suite consisting of two FREE players, Aero Stomp and Aero Amp, each available in VST2, VST3, AU and AAX formats. They represent a pioneering new project from Acustica aimed at the world of pro sound design and guitar. It’s our first suite of Acqua plugins using our revolutionary AI-based Terra technology. The plugin is designed to go above and beyond current market standards, featuring emulations created through painstaking, state-of-the-art sampling, and which are not β€œpre-packaged” and sound warm and alive.

Their design and development took a long time, but it’s time which we gladly spent, and we’ve we’re delighted by the incredibly results of all that effort. We hope that Aero will help you upgrade your approach to ITB guitar effects by providing you with a variety of tools to both inspire you, and help you get the results you’re looking for.
What You Get

Aero includes:
1. Aero Stomp: A FREE player focused on pedal and tone stack emulation.

From what I have read, this has very very heavy CPU use.

You need to bounce while using, if you can even get it to run. πŸ˜†

Is there any Acustica plugins that don't require heavy CPU? AFAI they don't exist.

American Dallas Face could be the Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face

Hi there,
STOMP and AMP seem to have the same "old" presets problem. At least on my Cubase 13. Both on VST2 and VST3. When changing on the fly (little left right arrows), it works fine but crashes (no sound) after some more clicks.
Presets and Equalizer button lead to immediate crash.
Sounds promissing. Keep on fighting. Thanx for your efforts !

It didnt crash here but I did notice both plugins eat CPU like hell. Certain models need up to 60-70% CPU. You may want to pause the playback and recheck, monitor the CPU usage too.

This doesn't appear to be worth the time or the bandwidth to download...
"revolutionary AI-based Terra technology"... There are many other like plugins that do the job of amp simulation and effects both much better and without needing a CRAY supercomputer in order to run it... gonna have to pass on this one...

Like Modula, Aero is a so close to being a scam, almost unusable and absolutely no updates for years.
Aero sounds horrid in LQ and MQ mode (why bother putting them there)
and "low latency" is a joke.
I kept the fuzz volume hoping for an update, but nothing.

I’m perfectly content with Tonex at the moment. I can run a bunch of instances with a buffer size of only 10 samples.

Not sure who would want to use this as their main amp/stomp sim unless they’re diehard AA fans and want to stay in the AA ecosystem at all cost.

Maybe I’m missing something.

if you are a guitar player, you should try this out. Its CPU hog, but it sounds really really good. Its honestly one of my favorite releases from Acustica, and is by far my favorite amp plugin, and i have most of the big ones. Its a pain in the ass, but i just commit it immediately.

I've seen some serious testimonials like yours. Definitely has me intrigued. But the CPU use is super high from what I've seen, I think it's dismissable because of that, despite the sound. So many good amp sims out there these days. Anyway I'll still try it out cos I'm a fool

I tried on some synths from sylenth, serum and wow, even just usign the eq the realism is awesome. Tried soundgoodizer from Fl, and no way to compare. CPU is the only problem. Some presets cant be heard lively unless rendering.

i can run AEROAMP (VST2) at 48kHz in Reaper (win 11), but only one instance and not on a buss..not because of cpu loading..the second instance mutes the volume apart from 0.5 seconds of sound initially and if i try to rotate any of the dials they skip back to zero. anyone else getting this..any tips?

I may download it because of what you say. But, I rarely use amp sims. I record my Tube amp in a closet with packing blankets over it and I also have Amplitube 5 and imo, it is easily the best out there I have heard. I mean, IK, had a machine measuring like every inch as it moved mics around in front of the amp. Overall, I just don't like amp sims not because of Tone, I could care less if my tone is the exact same as some other amp, all I care about it does it sound good. The problem with sims for me is the rooms are just not real, all they do is attempt short reverbs to sim a studio room, and what is missing is that physical reality is a medium just like tape is. Sound goes out into a quiet room and the sound waves are picked up by the mic. Line levekl signals will never be as quiet as a quiet studio room. In a good room, the guitar sound and the noise floor of the room have a very big difference between the two, but your guitar direct into line level will simply not ever have the same difference in amplitude that the room and guitar sound wave have. That's why in a real pro recording it feels like the sounds are literally coming out of nowhere. There is no line level noise floor surruounding the guitar signal. So for me, I do use amp sims sometimes as a preamp, because I still run it out to my amp and speaker, so it doesn't matter about what preamp you use. Also, you can get good results with heavy metal and such when you do the "wall of sound" thing but to me that is just an attempt to cover up that a real actual room is not involved. Also, it may be better to use an amp sim when you have a crappy room that sounds horrible, that can be even way worse than amp sims. I have found the best I can do is the closet with blankets over my amp trying to simulate a large room by using the blankets. Darn, rambling on again, sorry. I will download this just to store it at least in case it's not here one day and then becomes the greatest amp sim in history, lol.

bro my CPU just called the cops on me for attempted murder.
Thanks R2R very much, they are saving lives with those releases. Imagine if you buy some plugin that you can't use. Acustica is emulating everything, even the bounce.
