is it a full installer or an update to be installed over the last release

I think we all do need a single newer installer for all Specrasonics releases
since after formating PC or Mac , we have to install a release from last year then the next update then the nexet till the last one
& we repeat the same process for the libraries or a bad notification will apear on every opening!

So, speaking for myself I do appreciate a full installer for the last year for example to work with

this is not a request, it's just an idea if possible will be great, if not then we will keep going the old way with much appreciation to all you teams , suppliers

I just made a fresh install for all Spectrasonic products and used the latest installer available here (not this one here, it came a couple minutes too late for me ;). No need to install older Spectrasonics VSTi software these are cummulative updates. Hope it's clear what I mean by that.
For the Soundsource Library and Patch Library updates, just copy the files to the STEAM folder, which has not to be installed again when you have it on a HD not on C:

You only need the latest update after the initial installation to bring the software up to date so don't expect a new single installer. There is no need for one.

Could somebody comfirm that opening old projects work with this one? I'm afraid to mess with my Omni unless I'm sure. It was quite a bit of trial and error to get the 2.8.5f up and running prefectly (for some reason it went back to the init patch in Reaper all the time) so I could use the Felt Grand.

I wonder why we get these small updates every now and then. I mean, Omnisphere 3 seems to be very far away. It feels like it's taking them forever.

Make sure to block your plugin host (inside your daw) from using Internet - thats what triggers time bombs. if it happens, delete the audio dat files and register spectrasonic products new (and always offline).

Try the free Malwarebytes Firewall and Block your DAW in and outgoing.

Thats one of the easier ways to do it and works for everything.

That's not a good idea. Some plug-ins need access to the internet to work. E.G. Output - Arcade. It's better to block plug-ins inside the hosts file.

Serum and Omnisphere can't be compared. They are totally different synthesizers.
Do you see granular sinthesis in Serum?
They can both be used in different ways.
A lot of professional use Omnisphere for sound design.
A lot of dance music producers use Serum, because it's simple and have a lot of presets.

Personally I use vital (like serum) and Omnisphere. Not much any of them, even so I have contracts all year...

I was just reading on KVR there's been a newer update with quite noticeable GUI performance improvements for Windows. Looking forward to it as Omni can be sluggish at times.
