Ebony 1.5 includes accurate emulations of several different mixing consoles and processors built between the 1960s and the 70s by respected German and Dutch pro audio companies. As an added bonus, it includes a real, perfectly-maintained plate reverb from the 60s.

Ebony EQ

Ebony EQ consists of 3 different equalizer models organized in 2 selectable modules (HF/HMF and LMF/LF). This makes it easy to dial in different combinations by choosing from the available EQ emulations.

Ebony Reverb: Plate Magic from the Early 1960s.
Ebony Reverb recreates the classic sound of the first plate reverberation unit designed in 1957 by Wilhelm Franz. Widely used in pop music, the deep, lush reverb offered by our plugin provides an infinitely more convenient alternative to large echo rooms — and it sounds just as good!

Ebony Preamp
The preamplifiers included in the Ebony plugin are based on a collection of 6 sought-after hardware units, and precisely emulate the phase, frequency response and harmonic distortion of their corresponding circuits.

Is the3 Vst3 version missed or doesn it only come as Vst 2?
On the devs website there is no info about it as they want you to install their plugin manager

The vst 3 are only wrappers and they have worked fine for me
And just beacuse R2R said don't use Vst3 use Vst2 as Vst 3 are only wrappers of Vst2 it doesn't mean you MUST use Vst2

VST3 versions of AA plugins are completely fine to use. The trial version of this plugin only has VST files so I'm guessing that's why the R2R version only has VST files too.

Its is Vst2 only i dont know if it comes with vst3 from the dev or if R2R forgot to include Vst3 in this release

I bought this plugin a few years ago, and eventually sold it.
It has a really nice dark/lush reverb. But the other parts of the suite are mediocre (especially the compression), and the CPU use is too high.
And you can get that kind of reverb elsewhere anyway.
An overpriced plugin imo.
Safe to ignore.

I don't like my sends using a lot of CPU so I would just use it on stuff I want and print that track. There is also nebula versions of the EMT plate( Cupwise, VNXT) which sounds better then Ebony but all of em use to much CPU for me to use as sends and i am a huge AA/Nebula fanboy. I prefer printing if i really need to or just use Altiverb if I want an EMT emulation or specific verb emulation because its lighter on CPU and it sounds good and yes I know not as good as the above motioned ones but still more then good enough.

The trial version of this plugin only has VST files so I'm guessing that's why the R2R version only has VST files too.

You have to visit azzimov's page, it has information where it explains how to solve some problems with third-party libraries, such as the parameter: OTIMED 5. or the parameter Aheadlengh 5000, Ledspeed 1... are important for Nebula 4.

My installation of VST2 works for 'Lemon' but not for 'Ebony'...

This is from a fellow Audioz member who had a similar issue with VST2. " I had the same issue with this one. In this case I got it to work by placing the Common folder plugins into the VST2 folder in Common Files. I had previously put it into the VST3 folder by mistake. I also placed them in the Steinberg VST folder, and also the VST Plugin folder in Program Files, just to make sure. I know how to handle the VST3 releases but not the VST2 ones so I went with an overkill approach and something worked. Hope that helps."

It finally works (all files in the VST folder AA and EBONY folder kept as it is) but it is unusable with a core I7 4790
