MicroMusic (AI-Powered Synth Presets Generator) v1.1 Hotfix3 FOR ViTAL [FREE] screenshot
17/12/2023 | AI-Powered Synth Presets Generator FOR ViTAL | 754 MB
Configuring synthesizers is a challenging process.
Even when you know exactly how you want your synth to sound, and even if you have a reference sample, it can take hours of hard work and iteration to tune your synth to sound just right.

MicroMusic does the hard part for you.
You input an audio sample, and it outputs a Vital preset file. It's that simple. Behind the scenes MicroMusic uses state-of-the-art machine learning to find the optimal parameters to create the closest matching preset it can.

Installation
Download the MicroMusic ZIP file.
Extract to the location of your choice (takes approx. 15 mins).

Usage
Run the MicroMusic executable.
Drag a WAV file into the window.
Select a preset folder where the generated vital presets will be saved.
Click "Convert!"
In Vital, select "Open External Preset" from the hamburger menu.
Select a generated preset file.
Enjoy your AI generated sound!
*Use the Settings tab for more advanced configuration.

It's absolutely crazy to think that a university student team came up with this. It has it's advantages (and disadvantages) over Synplant but still, a plugin providing us with a workflow which never existed before is now suddenly possible, and so far I have hardly seen anyone talk about it.

This makes me excited about AI in music.
Just a casual user, don't mind me

Detailed arguments please?
This is for Vital, nothing to do with synplant ...

I import samples into micromusic, it spits out preset files, i open these in Vital, and they sound like wet dogshit, nothing really like the original sample, 5-10% similarity.
After the 5th or so attempt, i gave up

I try the same in synplant, and it sounds up to 90% as close as the sample did.
Maybe this is because syntplant2 uses FM synthesis with a fairly intelligent AI, while i think micromusic uses some basic similarity search within the preset bank, not sure, anyway its not smart enough to find a good wavetable/env setting/FM mix
