Acustica Audio Coral Baxter 2023-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 30 Nov 2023 | 80.8MB
Free classic Baxandall shelving curves from the 1950s.

A witch says,

Library is completely decrypted, decompressed, DRM related bloat removed, and built to the clean one.

In some products, some part of the processing does not use IR. The DSP DLL is embedded to the N2V file.

If you have interests, check our Salt release. You can extract the DLL file from N2V file from our decrypted library. Of course you need to know what DLL is and how to use hex editor.

this is interesting, so they finally resort to doing algo style plugin after all ?

When this wave of acoustics is over, do you plan on making a list of plug-ins that only use 44 \ 86?it has been a great help, thanks

I've created a thread at AS about R2R's Acustica releases related issues, fixes etc. The list is there. Link

Hey Stevie you seem like a smart guy.. do you have nebula installed on your machine with R2R acustica stuff also?

lol, not smart nor have Nebula installed but someone already confirmed that both of Nebula and Acqua can work together nicely as long as you didn't install the R2R Framework "the lazy way" rather the "add to environmental path" way. All the details is in the R2R Framework installation guide.

Didn't they switch to making algo plugins quite some time ago (when the "Hyper technology" stuff started)? IIRC, the Howie Weinstein plugin was one of the first that used mostly algorithms. The even newer ones like Ash Ultra, Jet, Pumpkin, Fire the... series, Magic Flow, Space Control etc are 100% algorithmic AFAIU.

It's strange though that this plugin is mentioned to have parts not using IRs, since this is a really old plugin. Maybe their plugins were always a hybrid design? IRs for the frequency response and algorithms for the dynamics and saturation

yeah, some of the newer plugins are mostly 70%-80% algos. You can feel it when using it. I stopped being a legit user before the Hyper Tech was introduced so still learning what it is all about for now.

didn't know this one, but the plugin eats the CPU like mf. I think so far it's the 2nd most CPU hungry after Coral which is a really old plugin.

There are some threads where Giancarlo's been explaining this topic this week. For what I'm gathering, even the new Hyper plugins are still good old Volterra Kernels from 2007 with improved scriptings. "Algorithm" is a term used by the users which might not be appropriate since convolution also works on algorithms, so the accurate term would be "sampled". So yeah they are still sampled like always, and they are now also using non sampled algorithms mixed into the equation. Anyway, here are some interesting posts by him which should clear this confusion. Please read also the posts he's replying to for context.

I thought so too. I suspected they've been implementing hybrid approach for quite some time now, especially for the settings between the stepped position on the knob in the plugin, it's quite obvious for some plugin under the analyzer where on the exact stepped position, the transfer/EQ curve looks like it is constructed based on a sample and the in between setting looks like a hybrid between the two. one of the good thing about the Hyper tech is :

it allows working not only at sample rates but at oversample rates.

which solves a lot of problems and AA's anti-aliasing algo's result looks really good on the screenshots at one of the post. thanks for the links.

LOL, so HYPER TECH means NORMAL DSP?

Folks, AA is Hybrid. from the very first beginning.
Simply said: tons of sampled settings from actual hardware glued together via algorythms (today the machine-learning way of interaction).

99% of AA stuff is no normal DSP and you can clearly hear that
