Thanks R2R! I love this NLE! Besides being a nice video editor, vegas even has a powerful audioengine. one that runs circles around some 'real' DAWs.
Vegas and Davinci Resolve are awesome pieces of software.

Win 10, hangs when scanning plug ins. Cubase, Nuendo, Studio One, and Davinci Resolve open. Is there a way to bypass the plug in scanning when you boot?

When that happens (no matter what vst plugin host) it is wise to feed a hand full of plugins at a time.
the problem ist not that one plugin that crashes, the problem seems to be that some plugins don't like to be loaded within milliseconds with hundreds of other plugins.
so what you do:
move half your plugin folder to a temporary other folder.
if it still crashes try starting with the other half.
or triple it. you get the idea.
so you open and close the host several times with feeding it plugins on every start.
as it saves the plugin states on every exit, you won't run into that 400 plugins in half a second loop.
this usually helped for me, because somehow one needs to make it work.
I wouldnt like to use vegas without my plugins.
