Caustic 3 is a music creation tool inspired by rack-mount synthesizers / samplers rigs.

Create your rack by adding up to 14 machines from a choice of:

- Subsynth – Virtual analog subtractive synthesizer
- PCMSynth – Multi-sample wave synthesizer
- BassLine – 303-like monosynth
- BeatBox – 8-channel sampling drum machine
- PadSynth – Harmonic table pad synthesizer
- 8BitSynth – 8bit equation solver synthesizer
- Modular – Fully configurable and routable synthesizer
- Organ – Hammond-like tonewheel organ with rotary speaker
- Vocoder – 8-band harmonic vocoder
- FMSynth – DX-style 3-operator fm synthesizer
- KSSynth – Karplus-Strong string modeling synth
- SawSynth – Supersaw-type polysynth

The app also includes:
- Effects rack supporting 2 effects per machine. (20 effect types)
- Mixer desk with global Delay/Reverb effects
- Master section with parametric EQ and limiter
- Song sequencer

Supports automation on most controls and includes powerful editors for modifying
recorded automation curves. All files are stored on the user-accessible storage, and
users can supply their own WAV files for use in the PCMSynth, BeatBox, and Vocoder.

Supports all uncompressed WAV files (8-16-24-32bit, any sampling rate). The PCMSynth
can also load SoundFont files (.sf2) and FL Studio mobile instruments (.instr, .ZIP)

See the in-app help section for tutorial videos and full online manual.

2014 ! No plugins... standalone only

seems us macs are getting 10yr old releases to placate us... instead of all them shiny newish things that clog up hard drives and make our systems fans turn on... real loud...

but......thank you anyway
illegal downloading and home taping is ruining the major music industry... keep up the good work!

Man, calm down, that is free from the developer.
If you don't like what you receive for free for Mac, maybe it's time to rethink your system choice.

Let him. Maybe he had his first computer last year.

No, people want only perfect things today - never remember where the beginning was.

You sound like a child throwing a tantrum. Either buy the software, crack it yourself, or get a PC. The crack teams aren't here to placate you.

Grow the hell up.

I was fiddling with this some years back. The workflow is kinda squirrely, tho not blatantly bad in any way, and it's fairly limiting, but after getting the hang of it, it kinda reminded me of using MPC hardware in that the constraints force you to work outside how you normally would, almost invariably pushing you to create stuff outside your usual style. I enjoyed it after getting familiar with its quirks.
Solid post, ElectronicAbc.

As I say, it was originally intended for Android v4-5. So don't expect Audio-HiTech for your PC or Mac. It has more of the old Synthedit with a nice jacket.

I remember when this was released for iOS years ago. It was quite nice back then and the developer was a super nice guy.
