SVT® Suite features three of the most renowned SVT amp heads: The HeritageTM 50th Anniversary SVT, the Heritage SVT-CL, and the SVT-4PRO. The amps can be paired with any of eight Ampeg speaker cabinets and third-party IRs may also be loaded. Plus, Dual-Cab and Dual-IR modes allow two cabs or IRs to be used simultaneously. The cabinets may be miked with any of six virtual microphones and you can adjust the position between the mics and the cabs, as well as blend in one of three stationary room mics. There are also models of five Ampeg effects pedals, including the new RocktaverTM and PhasifierTM effects. All this adds up to one extremely powerful bass amplifier plugin, offering nearly unlimited variations on authentic Ampeg SVT tone.

The Ampeg plug-ins (for the Plugin Alliance) were created by a company within the PA - Brainworx (and presumably by or in collaboration with Igor Nembrini) under a product licence provided by Ampeg Limited.

In 2018, the Ampeg brand was purchased by Yamaha Guitar Group. The Ampeg Suite plug-in is therefore an Ampeg/Yamaha owned plug-in, not just branded/endorsed like PA/Brainworx. It was written by the Line6 people responsible for Helix Native, which has been part of the Yamaha Guitar Group since 2013.

I personally prefer the PA version, but I don't have a comparison with the real hardware and it's a matter of getting used to it.

Most of the Ampeg amps was already done anmd available for Helix and some was even available for the old POD HD so when Yamaha bought Ampeg it was a no brainer to release an "official" plugin suite..

Oh their is many plugin makers that has real names "branded" on their digital guitar/bass amps these days
The first one was Fender ported for Amplitube 2 it sounded NOTHING like the real deal
Then all of a sudden Peavey got into the market and even bought the swedish ampsim maker company alien connection revalver and since Peavey also own Budda amps we had fender Peavey Buddha
Then came Amplitube 3 and all of a sudden we got Engl, Carvin, Gallien Krueger, Soldano/Jet City, Orange, THD, DR:Z, Carvin AND AMPEG now remember that was before PA got an Ampeg plugin.
We also got pedals from Ampeg,Fender,Fulltone,Morley,Seymore Duncan,T-Rex,Wampler,Z.VEX
Then Amplitube 4 was released and suddenly they couldnt call their Ampeg amps Ampeg anymore as PA got their Ampeg amps released i guess? so they call them SVX
And we got even more stuff with REAL names like MESA BOOGIE, and Slash AFD Marshall version oh and they redid the Fender suite.
At the same time Overloud release their ampsim TH-3 which had Brunetti,DV-Mark,Randall
Than Waves got into the bussiness and released the PRS plugins
Softube get a deal with Marshall
Helix has Revv and Grammatico
Whats funny though is that some plugin makers can still use the real names like ENGL on many different plugins and of course they don't sound the same it's all about marketing and money money money as people are so stupid they think if they can use the real name it must sound like the real amp.

this is so bad... the CPU is always up there thought they would have fix this in this version

So I personnally check some of the presets but dial them back in the softube version wich sounds even better in my ears and is like no hit on my CPU

Hmm the Line6 SVT sound authentic the Softube not so much i rather have an authentic sounded ampsim than a bad copy that doesnt sound like the real deal at all
But i guess most people are so used to fake sounding ampsims nowadays so they think it sounds better than a real amp.

This Ampeg SVT Suite is the Line 6 SVT he's referring to. Line 6 and Ampeg are both owned by Yamaha. The installer for this Ampeg SVT Suite actually writes to the same registration files as the Line 6 Helix installer does ("PurchasesV2.dat" file in \AppData\Roaming\Line 6)

So it can be problematic installing this Suite with legit Line 6 programs like Helix, Metallurgy, etc.
