Stem separation plug-in that let's you remix vocals, piano, bass, drums and other instruments – all in real time!

Remix is the first plug-in capable of separating instrument groups in a mix – so called stems – in real-time with an acceptable latency. Remix uses cutting edge technology based on artificial intelligence to separate complete mixes into five stems – Vocals, Piano, Bass, Drums and Other. These stems can be remixed so that you can easily increase the level of the vocals, reduce the level of the drums or even create a karaoke version.

Remix lets you control the sensitivity of the detection for each separate stem so that you can find the optimal balance between artifacts and spill. All the parameters are fully automatable.

In addition to the output with the signal mix, Remix offers separate outputs for each stem. You can route the outputs to separate tracks if your host allows it, thus making it possible to use insert effects as if you had five separate tracks.

Acon Digital Remix is available as VST, VST3 or AAX for both Windows and Mac or as AU plug-ins for Mac. There are 32 and 64 bit versions for Windows. The Mac version is 64 bit and runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel processors.

I think it works at least as well as RipX

But I've found that Ultimate Vocal Remover is probably the best of the lot

Way more options

UVR is king, yes, but this one works in DAW as plug-in so it’s a different approach.

I guess it requires some model database file, right? Do we have to download it from somewhere or the plugin uses online database?

Answering my own question: It appears to NOT require any additional file with AI models. However... the separation quality is rather bad.
BTW, it works in real time and is quite light on CPU.

Didn't compare them now, but I believe the Acoustica version sounds much better. I was able to do decent separations with Acoustica, but not with this plugin.

To me, this is a serious contender to izotope.
It's light on resources and the processing is super fast with very few artifacts.

I do like UVR but they don't make a plugin version so it's apples and oranges.
Peace.

Interesting as plugin, I normally just used spectalayers but as a insert this could get the job done just as quickly

Not precise at all, specially for Keyboard parts...
BUt still can be useful for simple needs.

"Surprisingly" you have to create an account at their website to know it's price...

For vocals example, my dear friend this thing eats SpectraLayers for breakfast in seconds if you compare how this works and I mean live, while SL must render and analyze etc...
This plugin is good AF... Sorry my French , but they nailed it.

And I am referring for simple tasks, but indeed, you have right, it makes some mistakes around synths, and other parts but with vocals it is pretty precise, but they still need to put that AI learning part as this is their first release of this kind of VST if I am not wrong?

And again all depends which mix you're using, if it is good, for example you wanna make karaoke or acapella from commercial song, mix itself is crucial as you know.
But I compared this VST with SL head to head, in heavy bad youtube mix in ALMOST DEAD MONO, results are crazyyyy, so far I can firmly state that this is more accurate around the vocals than the SL which I have used until this plugin was out...

But SL have its own benefits, I am not belittling it at all, SL is a monster but for simple tasks this is a serious killer.
And while this performs live, SL must render vocals and parts and that is time consuming...

Kudos to ACON DIGITAL!!!! Respect!

I tried it on a relatively clean mix:

And the keyboard is simple, even so, it is complete missed detection.
