A witch says,

Here is a true keygen with legit ProTools AAX compatibility :)

FIXED: Previous keygen does not work when the first digit of C drive volume serial is zero. About 6% people would have this issue. Note that this method is only used by this product currently. Developer always put new ways to calculate internal challenge code. Not sure why, it does not avoid being keygened.

Thanks R2R & funtime. I was one of those 6% that had the issue! Only issues left are wtf oomph (0 miles per hour?), poomph (miles prower is poop?) and how much oversampling (2x)? Weird plugin, just a very stripped down p42, similar price!
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

Seems like poomph = punch.
Oomph deals with lower frequencies than poomph.
Sweet is high frequencies, and sounds AWESOME on drums in my limited test. It brought my dull drum sample to life anyway. Made it "pop"

I don't agree it's a stripped down P42. It has something things P42 doesn't - a clipper, and the O2 thing. It almost seems more of a waveshaper than an EQ imo, unlike P42. Reminds me of tape tbh

This is definitely a mix bus plugin, very subtle.

Definitely can use it on way more than just mix buss.
And it's not as subtle as the P42 imo

My go-to analog-style enhancer is the Tessla SE mkII ... any comments about that free plugin vs the climax stuff?

With the P42 you have the input drive (enhancing the second harmonic) and the saturation knob. (enhancing more harmonics which sounds pretty warm and tape-like IMO) It also features LP/HP and two shelving filters. All together this concept does pretty well as a virtual DI-Box (which is it modeled after btw) as the first plugin in the chain.

It highly depends on the style of work-flow. Some prefer the "channel-strip" style and others the "modular style". Some mix the tracks of a rock band recording after a day in the amusement park with the kids and when their wifes are sleeping others have not slept for days and are producing a hardtek track with some unknown dudes that are talking with the garden gnomes while they are sitting on their laptop. Personally I prefer the "modular style" and would use the Tessla SE with a filter that fits the sound, maybe the TAL-Filter or an EQ, depending on the sound source instead of a "channel-strip". ;)

I Will test both of them

edit... both do the same on mixbus, BUT the P44 retains the transients much better than the Tessla.. that's the main and huge differences, but probably using a Spiff after the Tessla, or any compressor to recover the peaks, does the job.

this hardtek track sounds like a juicy one!

krysdeb - i will avoid trying Tessla due to the name, im assuming also its a synthedit saturator from 2008

not really, the VoS dude it's a really good making FREE plugins, the MKII just dropped recently. Really soft tone compared to P44. In my tests sounds the same, but the P44 sounds punchier / retains transients better.

will the Keygen work on the latest Filter Set ? the last time I try it didn't work on the v2.1. The plugin also changed a bit, have to revert back to v1.3.5

EDIT: Can confirm the new Keygen didn't work on P565 Siren Filter Set v2.1.0 I think it needs new keygen since the start of v2 because they changed the plugin name. Only working on the old R2R v1.3.5 (which was wrongly labeled as v3.1.5)

P565 Siren Filter Set v.2.1.0 changelog

- v2 with upgraded internal engine for a more musical experience.
All parameters are accessible from within the GUI.
- P565 SIREN is the new name of the plugin and will not replace your v1.
- Free upgrade to all P565 users- please use the same auth. license code.
New Alt. LFO circuit with extremely musical resonance sound.
- BIAS parameter added.

Coming soon for v2 is P914 Fixed Filter that also changed its name to Medusa with it's new pretty looking GUI that you can't look directly at.

Dunno about you guys but i LOVE the sound of this plugin. Granted, i've only tested it on 1 source so far - a 70s sounding drum buss, but it sounded really good. Very analogy to my ear. It actually kind of sounds like tape to me

Not worth it if you already have the P42 Climax imo.
Tested them side by side and the shelves and the air knob of Climax sounded better to my ears than the oomph, poomph and sweet knobs.

Sound of the saturation is stellar though, both of these really shine on the mixbus.
