As it says though, the AI is all server-side, so without the subscription it's just a wav player.

Steinberg's AI drum synth at least does the generation host-side.

So basically this cracked version does NOT generate AI drums for you, as that feature requires the developer's webserver.
So eventually this is "just another 16 pads sampler".

People that expect "infinite royality-free AI drums": don't waste your time and diskspace.
People that are looking for "yet another 16 pad drum sampler": go ahead.

For the people that considering buying, BEWARE: This plugin REQUIRES internet connection to generate AI drums, as it requires connection to developer's webserver every time you click "generate" button.....

Without the generate feature this plugin is pretty much pointless. The whole A.I. generation of samples is what it's all about. I guess who need to use this for its real purpose may just have to buy it.
If you just keep playing, one day you'll have mastered the game.

Just don't buy it, as soon as no one buys it devs realising people don't want software that relys on an internet connection to work.

For the time being, I agree with you.
However, there's no telling what the future holds. If AI actually saves all sample packs by a [generate/download] command for a few $ for the purchase of a plugin, its a different story. You can not run a server network for sophisticated AI applications on your laptop or in the home studio. So maybe in the future you should reconsider the premise of "no internet connection".

Never, period.
I will never rely on internet dependent software.
First of all, the outages are a problem.
Second, the generates samples/presets parameters are on the server.
The character of the sound, etc.
If you want to make unique sounds and own style music you don't want these parameters in others hands.

Let me tell you that the ONLY reason that devs create this kind of server-side software is to milking customers money by monthly subscriptions.

Like i said, no one should ever buy this kind of stuff, it's literally a money trap.
Once no one subscribe anymore they realize they have to change business or they are out of business!

Personally i just don't need an infinite supply drums i have too many already & also I prefer sonic charge synplants idea of using machine learning to create synth presets from a sample.

That's literally not true. Even a crappy gpu can generate short one shots in seconds, just look at most other AI applications that generate or alter audio. You don't need some gigantic server.

Or wait a bit. Like Stable Diffusion the open ai scene for audio generation ist evolving with lightspeed. There will be enough community driven open models for audio. A lot of research is going open because training those giant models needs manpower.

So it's just a client, that phones home every time you click generate something. Very sobering details. Thanks R2R for exposing this.

Once the web server goes down, the plugin ceases to function as intended. It won't be there in 10 years.

Quite frankly, all plugins that advertise AI should be met with extreme criticism. Because such tactics should not be tolerated.

All plugins should work as intended on offline machines. And not attempt to scam the user with snake oil claims.

The "server sided AI generation" could also be just an enomous library of samples that remains on their servers. To hide this information, they only sell the plugin files because with a GB large library everyone would become curious.

I bet 90% of the so called "AI" tools are pure scam - especially when it requires connections to servers.

Hey, good point r4e! I didn´t think about that. You just klick a generate button and not defining the sound by a promt. I do a lot AI stuff and im excited in what direction the sound generation goes. But I like my models (the machine learning data files) on my local machine and generate things without paying monthly for it. Everything goes subscription. But yeah. Maybe this is just a giant library of percussion sounds and you get some of the files with the click of a generate button. That would be... a smart way to generate revenue and a scam.

soo since this wont generate new samples//// you can sign up for the trial for Audialab Emergent Drums.... it does what you want it to do (generates brand new drum samples from a prior sample). I would just post the link for it but it doesnt work like that... you need to sign up for it with a username and password. im sure if you do a little research you can find it through google. the page is still up and running...thats for sure. one nice thing about it is that its "online" so you dont have to download anything. if i ever want to use it i litterally just jump to the web page through my favorites list.
ill admit.... its kinda cool but I find myself rather starting from scratch though and just making a new drum sound the old fashioned way... it got old pretty quick for me.

oh another thing....i dont know if it will allow you to export your newly created samples. its not really an issue though. i personally just use "SAMPLE" from the chrome store. its comletely free and i constantly use it for downloading any sound that i like that comes through my computer. yes it records in mp3 and wav. just google "chrome store sample"
