This developer doesn't use iLok. Quote from thier homepage: "Copy Protection: A one-time challenge & response over the internet. License works on up two separate machines."

Maybe you're mixing this up with pulsar.audio? (french company)

They don't use it yet. I'm not sure but I think there is a post on Gearspace that they are planning to switch to iLok soon. I also think there was a comment here on the site that as soon as the EQ is fully released, they will switch their protection scheme . That was 2021 also once a topic, there he wanted to offer it optional to authorize the plugins via iLok. At that time, R2R and other teams were not yet so busy on the products.

FLStudio v20.9.2 for some reason thinks both v5.1.0 and 5.5.0 are synths, not effects - can anyone tell me how to make it right? Cos the manual option in FL plugin manager is greyed out so I cannot change it to FX instead of synth.

UPDATE / SOLUTION
Ah, find out the right way:

1.) go to C:\Users\{your-account-name-here}\Documents\Image-Line\FL Studio\Presets\Plugin database\Installed\ and find there inside one of those folder a .nfo file with the name of the plugin in question (they might be hidden, so ya know what to do first here to see them, right?)

2.) open it in any text editor and change these lines exactly to this (plugclass_0: 7= effect, 8=instrument, ps_file_type_0: 1=effect, 2=instrument, category_0: Instrument or Fx):
ps_file_plugclass_0=7
ps_file_type_0=1
ps_file_category_0=Fx|... {<-- might have other words afterwards, just leave those as they are}

3.) save the changes to that .nfo file and close it

4.) now open FL Plugin Manager and RESCAN plugins with unticked "Rescan previously verified plugins" so that it would not go thru all the plugs again, this way it only checks if anything changed, like our edited nfo file. This way it moves the files to correct folder inside the FL structure

And that's it - all works as expected now and P42 loads as FX plugin with no problem at all! :-)

Hopes this help some other guys with the exact same problem I had.

Anyone else getting issues with activation? I run the plugin and it will work for a day, then the next day it will ask for activation again and i have to reinstall the plugin again.
Same for SweetSpot and P11 Abyss

Yep, no real fix is out for it yet. SEnki version is the only one that really works.
