Hey dudes, some1 here who has tested this vst3 with Ableton Live 11 ? The last versions sometimes crashed during soundsearching/browsing with about 58000 presets.

bye bye

Thought I'd chime in here...I have also experienced this issue with the preset browser. Sometimes it becomes unresponsive and does not allow me to enter a new search, but more commonly I experience a crash too.

I haven't seen any other users post about this, so curious if you come across a fix or workaround

Ahh, I remember experiencing your issue a few years back...

Spire relies heavily on your disk read speed because this huge preset library carries more than 58000 preset files and may very well result in program instabilities when you are still on a HDD, so basically the core issue is your hard disk which is too slow and you are pushing its limits (either too many files or fragmentation)... I recommend switching to any (SATA) SSD if you haven't done so yet. I am on a NVMe M.2 SSD (NVMe are more expensive and require a PCIe slot but any other conventional SSD will do the job) and working with Spire is a smooth journey. And not just Spire... I got all VR releases for Arturia (~ 1 million files in total it's crazy and idk why the devs not just sort these files into .pak archives), also huge preset collections for U-he, Massive 1.5, Serum, Sylenth1, etc and on top of that also RDR2, Cyberpunk 2077 and read speed is still @ 3GB/s so yeah SSD kicks HDD really hard.

Please please please slow down Funtime, you're posting far too many gifts, finding it difficult keeping up. Thank you as as always, for this awesome trance synth update.

I like Spire, but I don't like the mess they have made with their plugins.
In this moment I have 3 versions of Spire on my system because of their naming and changing plugin ID on every update, so in order to run older project made with Spire 1.0.x, I can not use any other version except that Spire 1.0.x.

And now I think they again made some mess again with that VST3 addition....
OMG, it is terrifying!

I have
Spire 1.0.x
Spire 1.1.x
Spire 1.5.x
and now Spire VST3 , oh no...

HUGE THANKS TO OUR KINGS TEAM R2R!!!!

VST3 does not work for me. The VST2 version does work. I get the message that workspace index file error, please rescan workspace.
But when I do that, it does not work. Any one else having similar problems with the VST3? Or is there a conflict having both VST2 and VST3 go to the same folder for presets and have their own workspace.db file?

Run installer as admin i assume you are on Win 10, before that copy your presets to another folder on desktop just in case then go to presets folder and delete workspace.db file lunch spire in your daw btw run daw also as admin it should take a time to build database again but that is worked for me

It seems that R2R made a mistake while writing the title. Actually no v1.5.11.5267 plugin in this release... this include v1.5.11.5227 VST and v1.5.12.5267 VST3.

Run installer as admin, go to presets folder and delete .workspace.db after that run your DAW after instalation as admin also and launch spire and wait to rebuild database :)

Yes I also did run as admin of course. What did the trick for me, it seems is that I use the VST3 version to index the workspace and not first the VST2. When I did that I would get the error.

But also delete the workspace.db file before openin the VST3 and having it buid the database.
