Music Developments Syne v1.4.1 Incl Keygen [WiN & macOS]-R2R screenshot
Team R2R | 06 Mar 2023 | WiN: 8.2MB | MAC: 33.6MB
Syne is a fully modular additive synthesizer with a beautiful analog sound and extreme flexibility with microtuning and MPE support.

Syne is a new, fully modular additive synthesizer capable of rendering more than 40000 partials realtime on a recent CPU (=powerful) while having full control over each partial (=flexible). This allows making complex sounds that are not possible with other types of synthesis.

Keygen works fine, but this is a pretty rough product. In partials editor, timeline morphing ignores phases, just uses the average value of phases for all keyframes. Pro-tip, not documented in the manual, but shift-clicking in the phase view sets to multiples of 90 degrees.

Lack of any sort of internal panning control means you'll probably need multiple instances which is kind of annoying too, since each one uses multiple windows for its editors.

The most interesting parts are perhaps the tremolo and vibrato modules that have filter-like graphs affecting each partial differently, when not set flat.

The FM module is alas a sad joke. One might have expected at least it would work on a per-partial basis, say with graphs like for tremolo/vibrato, but it's the most basic gen with 2 operators that don't even have partials. Also, its output clips.
