There's also a Kontakt 7.1.5 Portable from vkDanilov as well. I've been using it and it works pretty well. The library manager is an irreplaceable feature and it's so much easier to get everything working.

Yeah, incomprehensible and extremely disappointing since portables have been posted here for years and are much loved by many for the obvious reasons so I don't understand the sudden change of heart but here it is now in writing in the 'rules/faq' section:
"9. ALL in ONE" home-made collections packs are prohibited, along with portables.


I wonder what's the reason behind this decision?

I'm sure it's to protect all of us from modified releases that have not been tested or are from questionable and untrusted uploaders. With that being said - perhaps a change to the rules to allow portable versions from reputable users might be more beneficial to everyone.

not sure what they did with the update, but it stopped crashing (freeze msg upon starting up) Cubase on quit.
