After all this time, I'm still not sure what Analog Lab is. Is it a rompler or does it also have a synth engine?

It's more a rompler, it has some modifiers but not synth engine. Just fine for preset lovers.

it still uses the engine for the synths, it's not playing back samples just presets, so rompler isn't the right term

it's more like a powerful host than a rompler with all Arturia instruments/synth engines being fully editable within analog lab, just have to install them separately

I'm just not getting the picture clear here, if you have analog lab but you don't have some or any of the instruments from which it gets the sound, you will have the presets of all them anyway (which come within analog lab), so how it is supposed to edit the engine from the stuff you don't have?
Or you don't have access to presets for synths/instruments you don't have. I am guessing here all that GBs, are from samples or what?

You can play the presets as they are, but you cannot edit them if you dont have the specific instruments they are made with.

it's an all in one browser for all installed arturia synths. It uses the engine for each synth to browse preset libraries but you can't actually do synthesis, if that makes sense.

it's basically the synth v collection engines combined with the keyboard collection under one interface for centralization, but without the in depth tweaking capabilities of each separate synth/keyboard. instead it's just a number of presets from each, with limited macro sound tweaks. it's for those who want to have all the synths to try under one roof, but don't know synthesis/don't want to go in depth.

This is what confuses my simple mind. Analog Lab clocks in at 2.7GB, so that's why I automatically think rompler, as in samples. So, you don't need any of the Arturia synths installed and you'll still get sounds from Analog Lab? How come it weighs in at 2.7GB if it's just presets? Or are there cut-down versions of synths in it?

the new Pigments v4.0 CE-V.R. installer already deleted all my sound banks and the related samples I had installed individually - both from Pigments presets and also from Analog Lab presets. Thanks god I had a backup to copy all the missing stuff again into the associated directories. Would be no fun to do this for all instruments....

That's why you have to make a folder apart where to store each preset of your own, I do it for all my personal collection since I use VSTs, and it's much more organized and free of risk, unless I break my HDD or stole my laptop

Errr... I'm afraid I still don't get it 100% clear. Which one might be the right order to install Arturia products?

1.- First, install all VSTi (Pigments, Synth/Piano V-Collection, Augmented Bundle, etc...)
2.- Then, install the Sound Banks Bundle.
3.- Finally, Install the Sound Presets package (Analog Lab 5)

Am I right about this? Any suggestion?

FL studio crashes every time i'm browsing through presets on analog lab V.
please does anyone know how to fix it?

My Analog Lab now crash in STudio One or in Standalone each time I navigate in presets.
What can I do, do you have experiment this issue ?

PS : I tried previous VR version, with and withou sound bank installed, same results.
