Description is for Analog Lab

No wonder Pigments gives my computer grief and freezes in Cubase all the time. It requires a 3.4 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo-boost) CPU. I have a Ryzen 5 2500u which weighs in at a lowly 2 GHz. Either I need a new machine or forget about Pigments.

try to open it or any other arturia thing oustside cubase, with Bluecat Patchwork or even stand alone, you will notice that the problem isnt your CPU. Happening the same for me, and I am pretty sure is a Cubase problem. You have legit cubase? I have legit Cubase, but I am going to try R2R version to test.

be careful, installer deletes all your presets and third party sound banks, also in Analog labs. Thanks god I had a backup.... I copied all missing files into the related directories and so I can use Pigments v4 with all stuff again.

https://support.arturia.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409624180882-How-to-install-my-sound-banks-

Arturia are now requiring you to install your Pigment sound banks through the Arturia Software Center to ensure that they are registered to you. If you keep a copy and replace them after installation, you can access the banks through Pigments, but they have a dumbass graphic when listed in the 'My Banks' browser.

Now, I have both something hilarious and informative to share haha

I installed it to my machines by hand. I don't know if that made any difference but I am not getting any graphics like you are suggesting. I get what you mean and I'm sure your information is correct, though.

If I was in the camp with bad graphics, first thing I would try is to remove the Software Center normally, and then look quickly about removing any leftover remnants. Worth a shot.

I made a library myself out of retNZ presets, and that's why it has no graphic of its own. So, V.R brings friend Gordon to make it good. Look.

Yeah, Gordon! That's the dumb ass.

It's just that I made it a rule of thumb that when Devs start playing hide the sausage with crack users, that's time to move on. That's why I don't use U-He products or Tone2 and a few others. Life's bad enough as it is without throwing banana skins under your user base. I think Pigments is getting a bit morbidly obese now, anyway.

Oh well. What a pity. Never mind.

Cheers Cubeadooby.

wow ok. Is that only pigments (or only Analog Lab) presets or ALL Arturia?

The installer deleted the Pigments sound banks from Arturia Sound Banks Bundle C.E-V.R. and also the samples belonging to them. And also the sound banks I installed individually.
i installed this version just over the old Pigments v3.7 from CD-V.R.

when i installed this over VRs release it just kept factory, pigments 2.0 and pigments 3.0 soundbanks. I reinstalled VR soundbank packs and selected only Pigments and they pop back up, not sure what the issue is

EDIT: I fixed this by going into the Presets folder in 'ProgramData/Arturia' and deleting the three 'db' files. Then I rebooted the plugin and it recreated them. User folder appeared, saving presets now works. Kept this post incase anyone else has this issue :).

----- ORIGINAL POST -----

Saving presets causes crash in Reaper :S. Bizzarely it does seem to save the preset to a file but theres no user bank?

Actually that seems to be for all Arturia plugins now that I have updated. Ummm not sure what could be causing it. The previous version I had of these plugins worked fine.

"Microsoft C++ Runtime Library - This application has requested the runtme to terminate in an unusual way"

Anyone know what could be causing this? Has anyone had this issue before?

Thanks.

Hey guys, have someone installed it over r2r Arturia's complete collection 9? It would be nice if someone could confirm if it works without messing up other Arturia plugins activation.

EDIT. I end up installing it and seem to work without interfering in r2r's protection mode. Just keep in mind it will delete your pigments presets, so if you have self made presets or 3rd part ones it's a good idea to backup them before installing this one. Besides that it will override Pigments 3, so you'll only have one version of Pigments installed, but you'll still be able to open old projects without any campatibility issues.

So how do we find our banks now since I installed pigments 4? I dont even see pigments 4 presets just 2.0 and 3.0, but not 4.0 presets? Unless its in the factory presets?

Thanks..... a quick install note,

1-) Backup your files first !!! (C:\ProgramData\Arturia)
2-) install new plugin (if your library and user presets shows up, you're good to go)
3-) Copy your backup over new installed library.
4-) Delete 'db' file from 'presets' folder and open plugin.
5-) Good luck.

how is the user supposed to install third party presets now that it requires you to install those via the software center, can you just copy and paste patches and presets like in other synths?
