The Multieffect Evolved

Jaw-dropping effects, expressive control. Infiltrator could be your new secret weapon.

Your New Secret Weapon

Infiltrator is a monster multi-effect which can stack, sequence and modulate up to ten different effects at once. Whether it’s liquid analogue filtering or reality-bending sonic transformation, Infiltrator puts it all at your fingertips.

Infiltrator version 2 doubles the number of effects, presets and modulation options over its predecessor.

Cube will tell:
Any special steps not required. If lazy, it can be installed right over the old version from any source, without issues. Rock on and have fun!

If you would like to see the out-of-box-experience again, even if you've installed and used it in the past on the particular Windows user account, then just delete this file and fire up a new instance: %appdata%\DeviousMachines\Infiltrator\first_steps_completed

CPU With Release is Good?

The CPU issue isn't present in this version! I had the same problem last time but it's working perfectly efficiently over here on my end w/ Ableton 11.2.6, Win11

Version 2.1 of Infiltrator contains several new features, tweaks and a couple of bug fixes.

The new features include:

Favourite presets – curate your own favourite preset list and add any preset to your list with a single click.
Quality mode – choose from β€œEco” to save CPU, β€œNormal” or β€œHigh” for maximum audio quality
Smoother preset loading – avoids glitches and level jumps
Oscilloscope – view the audio waveform displayed behind envelope when editing
Improved latency compensation
Quality mode and latency compensation can each be toggled to set compensation on individual Infiltrator plug-ins or globally across all instances
Random envelope button now reveals a popup menu displaying envelope types
Reduced CPU and memory load
MIDI through bug fixed

Can it be installed over latest R2R release?

Imo Infiltrator seems to be *much* more versatile in its use-cases vs Supermodal Filter.

"...by TeamCubeadooby who chose to ask not to post mirrors" the only reason to be sad about this

Well, be sad no more. Mirrors are actually encouraged and supported fully 100%. I commented long ago about that - the site automatically puts that because of the selections I make when posting, and as far as TCD is concerned, mirrors are welcomed on 100% of posts. In fact, there is one reason and one reason only for TCD releases: Giving the software abilities to whomever shall want. There is no other driving force behind TCD releases.

Machine-specific issues cannot be fixed by an update. Hope this helps, sincerely.

You might try dragging and dropping the VST2 or 3 on to Blue Cat's Patchwork so you can get a good bearing about things that are going on, on the machine.

When it works well there, you can move on to fixing your Ableton caches and looking for advice about that.

So how did the Blue Cat's Patchwork test go?

The default location of the VST3/2 plugins are as follows:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\DeviousMachines\Infiltrator.vst3
C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\DeviousMachines\Infiltrator.dll

quote by omiacCan anyone else confirm it is installing WIN 10/Ableton 11 without missing .dll's?

You know how you know the release is without issue? The same way you know your latest and greatest video driver is good, when you can't find the rest of the internet complaining about it. Serious. It is a Systems Admin technique, Class 101, to consider this, and may it help out any in the future.

Here is code taken directly from the Inno script, so my description of it instead will not get in the way:

[Files]
Source: "I:\Misc Temp\1\VST3\Infiltrator.vst3"; DestDir: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\DeviousMachines"; Flags: ignoreversion; Components: VST3_x64; Check: IsWin64
Source: "I:\Misc Temp\1\Infiltrator.dll"; DestDir: "C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\DeviousMachines"; Flags: ignoreversion; Components: VST2_x64; Check: IsWin64

Ableton screenshot

No, the installer does not ignore the selected destination. It places a folder there, called "DeviousMachines"

I will download again and try one more
...sounds like the right plan, from here. You could always extract and place any files manually, if that way helps.

TLDR; on Win10 PC everything works fine after 2 full Ableton 11.1.6 scans and PC restart.

High five, dude! You can see Ableton scanners in the Task Manager. You know they are done doing what they do when they are at 0 CPU time, or close enough for a long period of time. It can take some time, but never outrageous or anything like that. Just make sure there are no looping u-he presets with the symlinks. That can mess Live up.

Great plugin, thanks for the update!

A few minor things:
1) Would be great if VST folder could be chosen rather than using the incorrect one.
2) Recent releases have not included a space in the vendor subfolder which creates a duplicate rather instead of using an existing one i.e. "DeviousMachines" or "JMGSOund" when "Devious Machines" and "JMG Sound" already exists.
