apulSoft apQualizr2 is a multiband equalizer audio plugin. Filter bands are graphically edited on top of a frequency analyzer. It features modular modulation of various filter parameters.

apQualizr2 can be used for all standard EQ applications and can produce many modulation and dynamics effects thanks to the included dynamics and lfo modules. Filter bands can be controlled with midi keyboards and controllers using the built-in midi module.

Filter Technology
apQualizr2 filters are based on a unique method to match ideal frequency response curves over the entire frequency spectrum.
Applicable filter types have adjustable steepness (adjustable number of poles/slopes) and can be individually switched to mid-side processing
Filters have a ++ poles mode where slopes get very steep and the full gain change is covered within one semitone.
Spectral tilt and variable-slope low- and highpass filters allow step-free tilt/slope modulation.
New: apQualizr2 includes phase correction engines to achieve minimal, analog, mixed and linear phase.

Virtually nobody knows that this was the actual 1st eq to use the approach that gets credited to fabfilter. Ableton took a big bite of the GUI approach too. This company makes amazing stuff! Thanks funtime & R2R.

You know that apQualizr v1 wasn't modular like v2 is, right? apQualizr2 was released in 2017 while something like Fabfilter Volcano 2 was released in 2008. I'm not saying that Fabfilter invented this idea of modular plug-ins, there were many before Fabfilter, and you could even say that the idea is taken directly from modular synthesis that has been around since the 70's.

apulSoft makes superb plug-ins though. I prefer apShaper over Saturn 2 for lots of stuff, and same thing with apQualizr2 vs Pro-Q3. They are just different tools for slightly different use cases.

I'm actually talking about their original version that was called apEQ from about 2002 ArabinJesus Yes, it was updated but changed very little from the original - the visual waveform, click to create a band, knobs & general graphics that look just like Live etc..

It always had supremely transparent sound quality, even high frequencies that were painful to listen to on every other eq plugin of the time. Fabfilter only made filters then - way before Pro Q.

This is my workhorse (in productions/mixes) and have been for ages. I totally love it! Fabfilter ripped ideas off of it, yet it remains fairly unknown. It blows my mind as it's both cheaper, more versatile/powerful and easier to work with.

I bought it, but thanks for posting this so others can evaluate (and hopefully support the developer)!

Completely agree with this comment and it is identical to myself. I couldn't have said it better.

Others that wonder how it works/ compares to this or that etc....The answer is right there for you. Try it for yourself. It is the only way to reach a concrete conclusion that suits you personally.

You may or you may not discover that you prefer it over your current tools for any number of reasons and that's completely legit as well.

There is no magic box, plugin or secret formula for advancing skills in these musical pursuits (or most any other worthwhile endeavor) beyond the reality of time invested directly = increased return in whatever it is that you like to do.

Kirchhoff is the bomb. im in love with it. Q3.. it works and its good, but meh. This is also good, but meh. I guess it depends on what you like to stare at and your workflow. Choose your flavor
