Reviver creates harmonic distortion, a sound which is often connected to vintage gear. It does not emulate analog equipment, but instead gives the user full control of overtone generation and volume. Despite this high level of controllability, Reviver's user interface is intuitive and provides the desired result after just a few mouse clicks.

Second-Order Harmonics
Second order harmonic overtones play an important role in the sonic coloration that tube amplifiers add to audio. The sound produced by tubes is often perceived as "warm" and "smooth". Using Reviver it is possible to add second order harmonics to your sound in a very precise way.

Third-Order Harmonics
Third order harmonic overtones change a sound more aggressively, with the effect often referred to as "punch", "fatness", or "detail". These overtones are also created by tape and overdriven solid state amplifiers. With Reviver you have exact control over third-order harmonic generation to give your sound that extra lift.

Anti-Alias Filter
A general problem of digital distortion plug-ins is that instead of only generating the desired harmonic overtones, they also create aliasing artifacts, i.e. overtones which are in disharmony with the original signal. Aliasing is an exclusively digital problem that does not appear in analog signal processing. Reviver is completely free of aliasing in audible frequencies. Serial Mode
In serial mode Reviver first adds second order harmonics to the signal before adding third order harmonics. The result is a different harmonic content and stronger saturation.

works fine for me, both VST 2 and 3 x64. No problem. Win 10, Sequoia 15. So it's system dependent.

I dunno what to tell you guys. It's still working fine on my end. I should mention I never had an earlier version installed on this system and my DAW is off-line. hope it helps.

This is how i made this version work a month ago :

I wanted initially to use the r2r 1.3.6 regged version so I downloaded and installed it.
I had this component problem so I reached in the comments of the different releases.
I ended, after many procedures,

1 - installing the legit version (I got it from the website in demo version),
2 - then uninstalling it (the dll does not get deleted, so I got the 1.3.8 vers. in my vst folder)
3 - and finally installing the 1.3.3 R2R version (the only one that made the trick for me actually) - the thing is that the file in the vst folder was untouched - so it was still this 1.3.8 version. Of course do not forget to replace the licence file in the windows folder.

Does not work here as well . Components missing with vst3 version , blank error with vst2 version . Win 10 , AMD Ryzen . Maybe runtime problem ?

Download this version. Fielding DSP Reviver v1.3.3 WiN/MAC-R2R
And copy R2R file in win sys wow64 . If file is present.delete old and copy file again.
Working perfectly.in vst vst3 64bits version.
I try original install.but not working.
This method work for me

It works fine. The plugin tries to read the license from system folder (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\crpfld\389230-HSGEI), which requires administrative permission. Use TakeOwnershipPro to take ownership of file and folder, alternatively use your DAW in Admin Mode.

Tested Win 10 21H2, Ableton 11 and Bitwig 4.4
