I've got a hardware fusion..

2 things

1. Even the SSL plugins (esp the vintage drive) are nowhere near the real hardware. Good plugs and fun to use in various places but NOT what the hardware does tonally (hardware unit is magic)

2. These guys using the words 'fusion intelligence' is a shady thing to do!

I was a "magick" believer until I learned how stuff works... DSP, math behind it, C++, etc...
There's no magic, it's just a math and clever programming. Nowadays good analog emulation VSTs are more than enough, "I feel something in this box" is just bullshit, there's no "ghost in the shell"... Last year I fooled a 65 years old guy with A/B gain matched blind test who's been into audio engineering since his twenties. it's just a placebo and stubbornness nothing else, unless a unit is really old and banged-up and has some really distinct sound. I second this .. Paul has a great channel.. I get people don't like buzz words in the description of some plugins like ultra analog or sounds exactly like hardware.. but what do you want them to say? This is a mid plugin that is coded the best way we could .. alot of these developers spend alot of time developing these plugins.. most aren't marketing experts and have a small team of 2 or 3 people.. and they are usually hoping they can make enough money to make the next product.

Exactly what I wanted to say. I don't hate the dutch guy. The guy is relatable sometimes. And he tries to be witty. But Paul is strictly scientific which isn't always good as we're all dealing with creative intuitions but much better than most company affiliated channels

Yeah, I don't hate him of course, but I think he's too frivolous and just don't go deep enough.
BTW GUI is another thing that just completely alters the decision and it's the most important marketing tool which is just sad.
People are so easily manipulated. As "AIRWINDOWS" (He's an absolutely amazing developer, his stuff is completely free (Patreon) and he don't use GUI at all.) is saying, NO ONE CAN HEAR YOUR SCREEN Love that guy!

*opens the plugin* 60% usage on idle lmao fl studio 20.9 48000hz sample rate windows 10 my pc is good but seriously who the hell is gonna use a plugin that uses this much cpu for no reason. these plugin developers seem to be getting worse. the plugin drops to around 16% when engaging the buttons which makes no sense it should be the other way around. gui is huge for no reason and not resizable. the plugin doesn't do much to the source material anyways idk about these guys at wavdsp. should go back to drawing board.
