MFM2 is our over-the-top digital delay plug-in. You can create anything from subtle textured echos to huge spacey reverbs, from wild tonal steps on a pad to rhythmic deconstruction of a drum track. As a regular delay MFM2 already offers as much control and inspiration as possible, while the advanced features in version 2.5 open up wider horizons. More feedback, more control, more inspiration!

EDIT: I tried and like it, it will has its uses, but not "the greatest delay effect ever", sorry. I much prefer a simple to use interface that results in supremely clean lush delay and verb instead of 400 knobs and 200 sliders of grainy artifacts. Thank you.

You're a prime model of "to each their own".

MFM2 is the greatest delay effect ever. I admit it can get overwhelming but you can make your own presets and they provide you with a ton of presets to start with too. It sounds really nice. It's the best delay in my arsenal of Linux plugins bar none.

they have a simpler delay (Color Copy) that sounds great and this one is advertised as "over the top delay" just for those that need all 400 knobs.

Because original installers are signed by that name so the actual company name is Heckmann Audio. It is about rebranding, but still the same.

Interestingly enough, both versions of Blue Cat's Patchwork (x86 and x64) are brought straight down to crash-to-desktop once selecting this. Then, I tried it in Cubase 12.0.40 and same CTD.

After looking at Event Viewer, I am already quite sure that it is because this is now either an AVX pluging or it got bumped to SSE 4.x, while it never was before.

Heckmann, this is a delay plugin, not a modelling software of every grain of sand on Earth. x86 plugs are included, so once again, this is an example of something that makes literally 0 sense! My guess is that it is manufacturer error for this. Rock on and still anyway, thanks V.R for what I could only imagine is the goods. heh

I just tried the official installer just for thoroughness, and that too exhibits the same issue. Not V.R-induced problem, which I did not think it was anyway.

This updated my preset library, which is always cool, so that alone made it worth it. Nice! 361 new ones, 396 already had, for a total of 757.

Yes, for sure SSE4_1 instructions are present, and the initial cause of failure (without debugging further along):

In my opinion, this is actually a manufacturer error even if manufacturer disagrees as such, because x86 is on offer too. An x86 only machine running SSE4_1 instructions? There is a concept of switching in software, after gathering info through API calls to make the intelligent switch. It should be applied if manufacturer wants to keep the 4_1 thing going. It is my opinion.

Just a heads up so others don't put in lots of effort to "fix their system" because "it maybe installed wrong."

To further illstrate all I have been saying, I actually fixed the x86 VST3 because that is simpy the first thing I started with. Now, it only requires SSE3. I suspect the others can and will be fixed all the same here. My version is actually higher quality because it accomplishes everything without latency of unnecessary instructions.

Love to test it (As my cpu is also SSE4.1 and no avx) X64 vst3 would be great too.
Also do you think the pulsar massive has the same issue? Or does that one really need AVX?

As I told another already, I had believed the instructions to be initialization-related only (there are only about 6 instances in total.) I was wrong. They are for the audio output algorithm or some DSP module or whatnot, and thus the sound is the wonkiest I have ever heard from a PC. Seriously. Full blast volume where even the host cannot tame or affect it, somehow. So it is a no go, but u-he can surely make it go the "right" way if wanted. Trivial for him or them. Intel even has a simple manual complete with code about how to use CPU ID to branch depending on hardware.

I definitely agree! It is a real shame that there isn't at least an option to use this plugin with AVX/SSE4.x extensions enabled or not. For the guitar that has less requirements and usually need something different from a full power DAW, I use a "dedicated" pc that only comes to SSE3...but it works perfectly (rock solid stability,very low latencies, etc.) which is what I need. For plugins like these (just a delay) there is no point in forcing the use of AVX/SSE4.x if you can avoid it. Let's hope they correct this, though I doubt it...

I don't know about Pulsar Massive. It looks on paper and graphic to be mighty fine and I am sure it is. I fell in love with Audified RZ062 (A and B) and if you get your settings going and then blast the input and lower the output, the saturation is... it makes me feel like I'm in a German studio in 1965 even though I never was in one and wasn't even born yet. The saturation rocks hard. Give it a try. It's on here.

U-he is always (most of the time at least) ahead of the curve.

He is constantly changing his protection scheme / mechanism.

So it's likely that this one - as most if not all of the other U-he releases - will crash at some point, have a black interface or whatever that render them unusable.

uhe plugins have no demo time limit. you just have certain annoying limitations. but overall no time limit.

thats one of the reasons, why i stopped using any Uhe plugins. really annoyed sometimes, that its so hard to patch.

And i am no way buying more uhe plugins.
have already uhe plugs. should be enough.

as Delay FF Timeless already does everything i want.

appreciate VR release to look around.
