Fazertone Overdrive Essentials v0.0.1 WiN [MOCHA] screenshot
Audioz | VST3 | 28.3MB
AI-Modeled Distortion Pedals

Get the authentic analog sound of nine legendary drive and fuzz pedals, in one convenient plug-in. Modeled with our custom real-time neural networks.

The Overdrive Essentials plugin is a collection of popular analog distortion pedals, all modeled with our custom real-time neural networks. It's an easy to use interface where you can select between various classic fuzz, distortion, and overdrive, from legendary 70s models to modern boutique tones.

With nine different distortion pedals to choose from, Overdrive Essentials is there to find that perfect crunchy guitar tone, add character to synths, or just a subtle warmth to drums and vocal.

For fine-grained control, you can use pre-gain knob to dial down the more intense fuzz pedals, and the wet/dry knob is great for non-guitar usage where you want to have add a more subtle touch of character.

8+1 distortion pedals, in one plug-in
Searching for the right distortion is a never-ending quest - that's why we decided to bring together a bigger collection so that you get access to a huge variety rather than feeling locked into a specific tone. That's the advantage of in-the-box mixing after all - getting the best of analog sound without restriction.

I would like to hear some feedback on the sound quality.
But I question the fact there is no about section or contact information on their site so...Who is the developer?

Hm, that's truly one for Sherlock Holmes. Maybe the name FAZERTONE Overdrive Essentials could provide us with a hint. Or maybe the site fazertone.com?

If i were to take a wild guess, I'd say Fazertone. But we might have to wait for the science report.

I will avoid insulting you and chalk it up to ignorance but to spell it out for you, I meant who is the person who developed the program, not the company name. I can't help you if you still don't get the question.

Usually it's the brand name that helps you get a hint on the quality, not a proper name, unless you know them personally. If you had their photo ID would that help you much?

The brand name means nothing...the point is, it's a bit shady when there is zero information provided about the company or those involved in the development. Good on you for risking it and trying it out. If I don't hear back from you tomorrow I'll know why ;). Oh, and don't bother trying to contact support.

the brand name IS the company name for our intents and purposes.

and yes, trying out software is the most dangerous thing you can do on this planet.

I love these multipedal thingies. The Audified Multidrive Pro is great. This one looks good, too. Can't wait to try it. Then buy it later on 70% off.

Thanks for the post!

I'm a bit skeptical they're just selling GuitarMLs work.

Developer no one knows talking about "neural" programming ... yes it smells GuitarML open source.

Thought I'd come back with a quick review. To my ears, this thing beats Audified Multidrive. It's creamier, denser, fuller and deeper, and it reacts more naturally. Less muddy, and I like the highs - not overhyped, but not dull either. You can tweak up, you get more clarity and sweetness, but still no harshness - on the four models I've tried. It just reminds you of why you love your guitar sound, and not just a suggestion of it. A great thing is that it remembers the settings for each pedal, as you flip through them, so that it's easy to make a comparison. A minus vs. Audified is that they have less pedals. I'd be really curious to see what their version of the Treble Booster would be. Some other things it could improve: an undo/redo - that goes for every plugin out there - value readings for the knobs, to help you remember where you were when tweaking knobs, and a preset save/load menu. Otherwise, psyched.

Thank you for your feedback...this is way more useful than your previous reply.

I'm always amazed when the developers themselves put up videos of a guy who can't play shit on the instrument and just sounds plain awful!?
I don't get it. After that demo, there's zero chance I'd buy it or even try it for free.

Have to agree. The demo is less than stellar! Best to send off the plugin to a good player along with some cash in exchange for a demo. It's a business and marketing isn't free.

In saying that, it's early days but it does show a lot of promise.

https://www.fazertone.com/

There is an email and free Klone pedal
Owner is Victor Lewis

That's all i know.
But seeing growing "neural learning" and profiling, we are going to see a bunch of them.

Tested now : sounds mostly good
Apart Arbiter, BO ...
Big Fuzz is amazing

This is actually pretty good. Sounds great (esp Big Fuzz) into Benson Chimera and/or Neural's ToneKing.

I own most of the pedals minus the Fuzzface (not a fan) and the original Klon (have the Ceriatone Centura though) and I can say with confidence that this plugin sounds superb. It is easily the best pedals plugins I've played with so far. One small weakness is they couldn't really capture that Fulltone OCD super glassy piercing sound accurately. Other than that everything is excellent.
It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not.

Wow! I see there is quite a lot of praise for these plugins!
Goes to show how right I was about having a decent musician doing your demos. Because based on that demo, I wouldn't have touched those plugins, even for free!
Now I'm curious, I'll try them as well (and yes, I'm a decent guitarist )

I almost brought this but i just could not justify the price, It sounds totally real to me, the best pedal plugin yet, this version does not save settings like the demo in S1. but still good if you remmber the settings

This sounds really good.

Only problem is that doesn't save settings.

yeah, can confirm, recall doesn't work. Saving the setting onto the DAW preset system also didn't work. Not sure who should fix it, the dev of cracker. Lol.

i started using it in my projects, after the initial excitement, and it still comes out a winner in almost all comparisons with vst pedals - the arbiter completely lacks drive, like someone else said, but once you crank the input it starts to sound good - i think it's a gain staging problem on that one.

the problem is it doesn't save the settings, the daw doesn't remember them, and saving presets in the plugin frame doesn't recall the settings either.

that's an official limitation of the demo version, described on the site, so i think mocha cracked the demo version - which was great, but you have to redo the settings by ear every time you reload the project.

if he could start the crack from a legitimate version - if he can find one - that would be awesome, since, as far as i'm concerned, it's already my go to. i'm waiting for a better deal to buy it.

thanks again!
