I also noticed that the Steinberg Download Assistant updates elcc, so have your files ready, as a suggestion. I just copy/paste from another machine.

Also, it has content update for Groove Agent. It is a VERY smart idea to copy and paste the files it will overwrite, for keeping, in case it goes wonky for any various assortment of reasons. If it all is just ok, well, better safe than sorry in this particular sort of thing. Rock on. When I am done, I will tell any hurdles or smooth. Thank you for the heads up and thank you all else.

Spectralayers opens normal, no AVX needed and OpenGL requirement not changed or upgraded. As a side note, AMD just released a new video driver for legacy cards which DOES have a new OpenGL that works again with Vegas 19!!! R2R 636 here but probably 643 ok too, untested on the latter yet though. Here:

Also, you can get Spectralayers working on any 10+ machine with poor OpenGL support (as in just 2.0 or 2.1 capabilites inherently or similar) by installing mesa3d mingw to entire system (and not just a program folder, as it has option for - do the former!) I have SL 8 on a Win7 machine like this. SL9 needs Win 10+.

Edit: All new content for Groove Agent seems to be working well. Thumbs up.

More Edit: I took my own advice and made another one of my Windows 7 machines that doesn't even have a driver installed at all (besides Microsoft standard) work with Spectralayers 8.0.10.270. Another machine of mine has only Intel graphics low OpenGL specs and works well there too for a long time:

Latest and likely final edit haha: In the past, I had it all working with system-wide install. Now with Mesa3D latest, I had to install per app way with all options on (how I did, anyway) and now music tracks open and play well too, without crashing, excellent performance, Core i7-2600S.

TEAM R2R Root Certificat + TEAM R2R Steinberg Silk Emulator v1.1.1 doesn't work for this :( he wants Steinberg Activation Manager.
But:

VST Live Pro - ok
WaveLab Cast - ok
BackBone - ok

works perfect if you copy the dll to commonfiles/steinberg/activation manager

You say there is a "problem", what exactly is the problem?

I think you need to get acquainted with the concept of false positive results before submitting alarmist posts such as these.

That particular file is from a R2R release, posted by DECiBELLE, which will be 100% safe.
