Avid Sibelius Ultimate v2022.5 trial reset Win

This is only Sibelius First, which allows only 4 staves, and additional features of Sibelius are not available.

Does anyone know if it's the full version or not? i.e. only 4 staves can be used at most?

if you have already installed the demo version of sibelius more than a month ago you only have access to the first version.

Do you have any suggestions to correct this ?

I don't know what people are doing. If you have a previous version of Sibelius installed, you MUST totally clear your pc of that program.
I did a complete uninstall of Sibelius Ultimate 2018, deleted the directories specified in the "Sibelius Trial Reset.bat" file included in the download, and cleaned the registry of Avid, Avid Technology and Sibelius entries.
DO NOT block Sibelius or Avid Link in your firewall.
Install the program. DO NOT Run Sibelius... first run the Trial Reset .bat file.
I am now running Sibelius Ultimate after following those procedures.
There is no need to block in the firewall, because it is a fully functioning 30 Day Trial. Set the .bat file to run each time you start Windows, and you won't have an issue because the 30 days will be reset each time.
No need for an Avid account.

It works, both in 2022.5 and 2022.7 (I think that's the latest). I tried both without previous version uninstall and with on two different computers. First it didn't work, but I think the trick relies on having Avid Link closed or uninstalled. Without it, once you run the trial reset.bat, sibelius will start without asking anything on "Not Activated" status, which starts automatically the 30 day trial on ultimate.

Here's what worked for me:

I had the latest version installed on an external storage drive and I was under a 30 day trial. Trial ended today so I sought to remedy that with this trial reset version.

I uninstalled the latest version from my external drive using the standard Windows 11 uninstall method. Even though it had been installed on an external drive I was using it via my main Windows installation. After that, I uninstalled Avid Link. Then I deleted the following folders from each of the indicated drives:

External Drive G:

Nothing. The uninstallation took care of everything on this drive which had the main program files.

Main Drive C:

-Program Files/Avid
-ProgramData/Avid

Then I opened Registry Editor and deleted the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Avid Technology

I did not delete the "Avid" entry just above "Avid Technology."

I installed the program and did not open it after installation. I ran the .bat file by right-clicking it and selecting "Run as Administrator."

I opened Sibelius and it showed my trial had been reset. I ran into a problem though, I could not open any score that I had worked on during the initial 30 day trial because I'd get a message saying the score was created using a newer version of Sibelius so I'd have to update the program in order to open those scores.

I saw someone here had mentioned that the reset works with Sibelius version 2022.7 so I wondered if updating to that version would solve my issue. Yes, I created an account over at Avid.com and downloaded that exact version to my computer. I installed without uninstalling version 2022.5. I just made sure to select the same directory 2022.5 was installed in and I did not open it after installation.

I ran the reset .bat file the same way I did before one more time.

Opened Sibelius and tried opening the newer scores and they opened beautifully.
