Cross the borders of guitar sound

A compact yet advanced guitar plugin. From a delicate, clean tone to the heaviest wall of sound filling the whole mix.

We’re advancing a proven formula, focusing on a design that enables you to achieve a wide spectrum of sound in a single plugin.

Control every aspect of the signal from the main view and dial in each parameter with expanding sections.

7 Sections - create your own sound, not a simulation

Input - a gate, a gain knob, and a high-pass filter.

Preamp - 4 different models of drive, a big range and 4 additional switches dynamically changing the character of the preamp.

Tone stack - 4-band equalizer dynamically changing according to the chosen preamplifier with adjustable frequency, Q and gain as well as customizable filter types and 3-preset tone matching.

FX - a double section divided into modulation (chorus/phaser etc.) and time (reverbs, delays, echoes) subsections.

Power Amp - Resonance and Presence knobs for adding character as well as a Hot knob for saturating the signal even further.

IR - load up to 4 impulse response files at once and mix them in real time until you find the perfect balance for your tone.

Output - A maximizer, a mix knob and a fader.

Features:

Aurora IRs - A built-in stock pack of custom impulse responses prepared especially for Rhino.

The Rhino Knob - a set of co-operating functions enclosed within a single parameter - Rhino. It adds character, pushes the tone through - it fits your sound right into the mix without crushing the dynamics or clogging the spectrum.

Compact UI - designed with the goal of convenience and clarity.

Advanced control - each section can be expanded, unveiling extra options.

Cross-platform presets - exchange presets between Window, macOS, iPad and iPhone.

Dark Mode - light and dark mode and a color theme dynamically changing with the chosen preamp.

what do you mean??,IMO its better than the Neural Stuff

nah not at all mate. This model is great for tight high gain metal but try a lead patch. It is not there at all. NDSP are still kings by a long shot.

The presets are not much to go after, I agree. Try making your own lead patch instead. I can get a great lead sound for both crunchy rock (yellow model) and high-gain (blue and purple models).

I do still like some of the Neural plug-ins over Rhino in terms of realism, but Rhino is definitely up there! It's probably the best all-in-one amp sim I've tried! Integrated multiband comp, limiter, great effects, incredibly configurable and versatile, no skewmorphic interface, EQ tone matching AND a very affordable price considering what you are getting. Can't go wrong with that!

tried this and blew the doors away of neural dsp

How exactly does it "blew the doors away of neural dsp"?

that's a big statement

but I'd say this is misleading to anyone considering your comment as actual information regarding a comparison.

Yes, some technical knowledgeable details would be welcome.

The only equivalent amp sim from Neural would be Archetype: Petrucci (4 amps, compressor/overdrive, phaser/chorus/flanger, delay/reverb, 4-band parametric EQ). It has some components that Rhino doesn't, and vice-versa.

The transpose and doubler effects in Petrucci are great, and it also has a wah. Like in all Neural plug-ins it has a skewmorphic UI, so in the cab section you can move mics around the speakers instead of having to browse through hundreds of IRs. It also has room mic IRs, something that the previous Neural plug-ins don't.

Rhino has the "tight" multi-band comp and a limiter on the output section which are very good (and handy when you are using it in stand-alone mode). Rhino also has the EQ matching mode, 3 power amp models (flat, studio, live), a high-pass filter on the input, a fuzz and a boost pedal, aside from the algorithmic reverb it also has a convolution reverb that you can load your own IRs in, and you can also export your own IRs from the cab section.

They both sound absolutely awesome, but considering the price difference (Petrucci: $149/$129, Rhino: $89) I would say that Rhino is probably the way to go if you just want one amp sim that is highly configurable and versatile, a true all-in-one kind of plug-in. If you want a specific tone/sound (the Petrucci sound in this example) Neural's plug-ins are probably what you want.

I own several Neural DSP plug-ins and love them, but I don't think they all are the "GOAT". Rhino is definitely in the same league, but it is aiming for a different goal than what Neural DSP are aiming for with their plug-ins. It's like comparing Fabfilter Pro Q with a virtual analog EQ/channel strip that works just like the real world equivalent, but doesn't offer many digital advantages over the real thing.

Wow, sounds really good. I do like how the interface gets completely away from the virtual amp and cab UI. Kind of like Helix, but good

personally I would have chosen a better placement for that rhino button (quite invasive innit?) but wow... it really surprises me...

I have been trying various amp sims for the last couple of weeks. This plugin has come as a nice surprise. It is quite intuitive if you have some experience with guitar plugins. Starts quickly and responsive. I will definitely keep it in my guitar plugin quiver. Thanks
