Its astonishing. These GEM plugins from Overloud sound as good as Acustica or UAD yet use so very little cpu.

actually some folks say UAD sound closer to hardware counterparts,
on the other hand Overloud adds very useful additional functionality not present on original hardware units, so it's a delicate choice of personal taste

Could be. I have heard everything out there, own several pieces of hardware and i can tell you Overloud convinced me with realism. If there was only one company i would have to stick with it would be Overloud, low cpu but big pro sound.

while MOD gives only Dimension modulation unit
unless I'm wrong, MOD < MODULA so there's clearly no need for MOD I suppose?

as a uad user amd having tried this last week and comparing to the arturia dimension d... the uad has an overall better image, nothing i cant replicate with some m/s processing on the send i toss this on with just a little eq.
overloud showed off with this, especially for those of us that had or have the physical hardware.

As has been said by others, they use little cpu and sound great
As for realism, they have the vibe, which is what matters.
I still own a dimension D and have used other examples over the years and none of them sound identical so I don't it matters if it has a sound of its own, what matters is it sounds great.

I had installed the freeby Overload GEM MOD installed on my Mac.
When I started the GEM Modula I got a message where I can enter a serial or use the Demo mode.
I followed the instruction step by step.

Could anybody please so nice and tell me if I got this failure because I have even the Overload Gem MOD original besides this release?

Pay attention to where you need to copy the ol2 file. I guess you tried to copy it to /Library/Application Support/Overloud but the correct location is ~/Library/Application Support/Overloud/GEMS/
The ~ sign directs you to a hidden folder inside your user folder

Hi everyone.. much love to the community! <3 So normally I don't have any trouble with installers.. especially R2R <3 .. but I'm having the same question this time.. can anyone help with where the ol2 file is being generated? Maybe an issue with using Crossover to run keygen? Thanks in advance!

Why not?? I'm using Crossover. The keygen generates an ol2 file and places it automatically on the "desktop". The point here is that this is NOT the mac desktop but the bottle desktop. After the keygen generates the ol2, you need to close it to let Crossover finish the "installation". Then right click on the bottle and click on "Open drive c:". Navigate to "users ---> crossover ---> desktop" and you'll find the ol2 file there.
