I have seen Twitter posts (check Sidfy) where x1 also used is being caught, Interestingly check the website for Sidify where "Spotify" is now not mentioned anymore for their download app. Its the end of what was great software

True. 1x no longer keeps you safe.

I got this from SIDIFY (all badly worded issues are from them. LOL!):

Sidify is applicable for personal use. The US copyright law describes clearly in chapter 10, section 1008:

No action may be brought under this title alleging infringement of copyright based on the manufacture, importation, or distribution of a digital audio recording device, a digital audio recording medium, an analog recording device, or an analog recording medium, or based on the noncommercial use by a consumer of such a device or medium for making digital musical recordings or analog musical recordings.
So from a copyright law point of view, there is nothing to worry about recording music.

However, when signing up to Spotify, you may have agreed to “terms of use”, including that you won’t record from it.

Since June 2021, we’ve got feedback from some of our users that Spotify has suspended their accounts, with the reason "It has come to Spotify’s attention that your account has engaged in unauthorized use of the Spotify Service in violation of the Terms, including possibly engaging in unauthorized content downloads.”

It has also happened to users of other tools from other manufacturers with similar functionality in the market. Spotify doesn’t want to lose users in this way, thus it offers an option to restore your Spotify account - “If you believe this was in error, and/or regain access to your account, please reach out to Customer Service and confirm you will not engage in unauthorized content downloads from our service going forward, and we will grant access back to your account again shortly."

My Spotify account is banned. What should I do?
1) Contact Spotify support at https://support.spotify.com/us/contact-spotify-anonymous/.
2) Confirm to Spotify support that you are no longer engaging in “illegal content downloads”. [[[This is so that you can keep your playlists]]]
3) After that, please download the latest version 2.2.6 from Sidify’s Download Center and run it with a new Spotify account.
Note: We make an improvement in version 2.2.6, but you need to run with a new Spotify account because you've ever used the previous versions with your old account.
4) Do not use any other tools for Spotify, as many of them haven’t made changes yet.

Thanks LuaOle - this must be the spiel they send when you "contact our support team" as they keep mentioning to any online post slating the current issue. Be interested to see if this works but not sure I want to fork out for another Spotify account for 9.99 only to find it was all false. But at least their official response is now known to us so appreciated

Ive never used this with a free account as that quality is less than premium but if it does that may be worth a shot? Anyone know if that does work with a free Spotify please? TIA
