Yeah they could definitely learn a thing or two hundred about competent and efficient programming from ValhallaDSP. Especially Arturia should put all those PNG files and presets into some kind of a container file, is that really so hard?? :/ The installation of their plugins would be much quicker, and they could even compress those container files...

Anyway, I can't tell you how grateful I am for this bundle V.R and your no-nonsense installers that don't leave garbage in the registry unless it's necessary!

Although, truth be told, ValhallaDSP is one of those developers who don't bloat their plugins with draconian CPU consuming protection schemes and his prices are humble. Kinda like Tokyo Dawn Labs - those guys make top notch plugins, too. He [Sean Costello] deserves support, so if you can, support him in some way. He's a great guy and even spreading a good word about his plugs can help.

Tokyo Dawn's SlickEQ GE and SlickEQ M both came up next on my To-Buy list, recently, and coincidentally coincided perfectly with a sale by Plugin Boutique.
SlickEQ is one of those EQs that you make some adjustments to, and it doesn't sound like it's doing anything... and then you bypass it and it's like a slap in the face.
No, supporting smaller guys who are making legit plugins is a must. I'm just about legit on my Klanghelm, too. Those plugins... hoo-boy!! And Tony is super chill and humble, which I wouldn't be if I made beast plugins like Klanghelm.
I think Valhalla VintageVerb is coming up on my list fairly soon, and I think $50 is a fair price for a plugin that is so versatile. In the meantime, I pyrate.

I recently updated ValhallaRoom to 1.6.2 hoping they had made it possible to customize and save the default preset but it is not loaded from a file even if one creates a default preset. The host will save the state but there are situations where I want it set to my preset when I load it without having to automate loading of a preset. Another issue is the ValhallaRoom Mix control. It seems to pass full Direct signal and only add the Reverb to it so Direct is always there but I am not sure and there may be something else going on with my signal paths. ValhallaRoom is my favorite Reverb so I hope they take the trainer wheels off the default preset soon.

Shimmer 1.2.2 seems to be missing its Preset UI but in VstHost it exposes 8 presets in the VstHost Plugin Preset menu or maybe I just missed clicking something.

yes You are right mate.
it has some bugs with presets. DAw s not starting with saving presets. its start,ng w,th default presets.
we are waitng for ReV2.

No problem with presets for me.
If I create a preset, save it and I save my project in Ableton or Reaper or Samplitude,
all is fine when I reopen the project. My custom preset is loaded with the settings.

All presets for shimmer are here.

Remove all previous installed version before install this.

No problem for me all valhalla plugs work (I used vintage, room and delay all time)

Why won't the VST2 show up anywhere? I really need the VST2 to work but It is only installing the VST3. Any ideas?

in few cases reverted to other team vintage because the "not saved presets" bug. I had a wide arrange of vintage verbs all around my project and lost all the configurations. Probably will apply the old-school technique to take a pitcure and save the presets in cases like this.
